Gaming Retrospective - Warzone 2100
Warzone 2100 is a RTS game that was released in 1999 and was developed by Pumpkin Studios. This game is open source so it can still be built upon and can be downloaded for free from the internet. Game used full 3D environments back in 1999 that looked great and still hold somewhat in 2017. Story of the game is set in a year 2100 where humanity almost got wiped out by the nuclear war and the remaining factions will fight it out in order to get the leftovers from before the war.
There are three factions in a story campaign and the players control The Project, or the good guys against The Collective and the New Paradigm, not the names you are used to in RTS games, but they served their purpose. Because the game features full 3D terrain you would have to use the terrain to your advantage and this is where artillery units come in handy. Base building is present and you can build and research new technologies and customize your units as you wish. Your units will also gain veterancy so it is wise to keep them alive. During these days of RTS drought I can't help but to remember these old school strategy games and Warzone 2100 is one worth mentioning.
You should write something about Age of Empire, because Microsoft has announced Age of Empires 4!

Oh man, I'm too old school for videos. My background are written magazines and I was never a youtuber. But who knows, one day maybe :)
We are looking for some colleagues for our channel...sure maybe isn't the best time because youtube and demonetization stuff..sooo we can't afford salaries but hey if you wanna try we maybe can do something together :)

That was one of my goals when I joined this platform from the start. I was one of the first people here on steemit to write about gaming. As you can see, today we are doing relatively OK with our gaming tag. As long as the content is great, with time any quality writer will find steemit a place to be, as long as he or she realizes that Rome wasn't built in a day. Hey hey hey :)
