Gaming Retrospective - Turok
Turok is a remake of the popular FPS Turok the Dinosaur Hunter from Nintendo 64. Game was released in 2008 and was developed by Propaganda Games. Players take the role of Space Marine Joseph Turok that has been sent to an expedition on a remote alien planet to retrieve his rogue commanding officer General Kane, soon he discover that his main target and his rogue army will be just a minor problem when he encounters massive bloodthirsty dinosaurs roaming the planet.
Dual wielding machine guns was very nicely done in this game, guns were responsive and loud. There are many species of predatory dinosaurs in the game and every one of them can be dangerous, but nothing comes close when you encounter T-rex or Gigantosaur, it was an adrenaline filled encounter to say the least and exterminating those dinosaurs was a very fun activity. You can execute most of the bloodthirsty dinosaurs trying to get you via bloody quick time events. Sneaking is an alternative way to get through the jungle and with the help of your blade you can take care of many enemies without raising an alarm. Exploring the jungles in Turok was one of the most fun FPS experiences of 2008.
I have never played Turok before, but at first glance it kinda reminds me of ARK. Thanks for sharing!
