Gaming Retrospective - Star Wars: Phantom Menace
Every once in a while I get Star Wars craze and with recently announced trailer for new movie, craze is at it's all time high. It can objectively be said that for everyone's favorite movie franchise, Phantom Menace is the worst movie of the bunch. Game however was very good if not great. Played from third person perspective Phantom Menace was as good of a game as it could get at the time of the release back in 1999.
There are several playable characters that we can control depending on the missions and planets we are on, game plot is closely related to the movie one, so there are many immersive locations like Naboo, Tatooine and Coruscant. It can't get more Star Warsy than that. Missions are very diverse and sometimes we can fight massive droid numbers and in other instances players would need to solve jumping puzzles, or find that rare piece of equipment for your starship's drive. Phantom Menace is a very playable game I always had fond memories of.
