Gaming Retrospective - Kingpin: Life of Crime

Kingpin is another old school FPS game released in 1999 and developed by Xatrix Entertainment. Unlike other FPS games at the time Kingpin had very violent mobster story and profane language could be heard non stop in the game, that raised some controversy around this game. To me that dialogue was funny as hell, but hey, I'm an atheist who likes beer. Game starts after brutal beat down on our character by some mobsters employed by one of the Kingpin's lieutenants. After that we are set on a revenge trail to take down Kingpin and his organization. 

Slowly our character recovers and starts earning cash that he can get by killing enemies and finishing objectives. Players could buy new weapons, equipment, mods and can even hire some mercenaries with that cash. Kingpin is one of the first FPS games where guns can be upgraded with different mods. Not everything in this game could be solved by violence, sometimes peaceful solution could be achieved, but it is always more fun to shoot your way out of trouble. Dialogue is one of the best aspects of this game, very fun game once you combine all those features, one of the FPS classics.
