Gaming Retrospective - Dead Island
Dead Island is one of the more recent RPG games from 2011 developed by Techland. First time when you see this game you wouldn't say that there is any substance to this "just another zombie game", however, this game offered something new with it's action role playing game mechanics. Game is set on a very eye pleasing tropical island where our heroes wake up in the middle of zombie outbreak and depending which class you pick will, you will have different survival skills in order to end up alive. Naturally our characters are somehow immune and they will have to use their ingenuity to survive against the zombies.
There are four playable characters in the game, each with their own sets of skills, some are good with blunt melee weapons, other ones are good with firearms, take your pick and start slaughtering waves of zombies. Zombie killing in this game is done great, depending where you hit them, that part of the body will be severed and you will have a big smile on your face. Killing zombies in this game never gets old and with the help of work benches you can build so many crazy moded weapons that will kill zombies more efficiently. RPG mechanics in this game work great and you will spending those points to increase your survivability or damage skills. As zombie games go, this one could be well worth your time.

My new obsession has been to watch these video games on Youtube as people play them through, some of these games are EPIC and it actually feels like youre watching a crazy movie
You should check twitch.tv then, no need to watch television when you can watch gameplay of your favorite games :)
Very cool setting (or distracting, depending on your point of view) for dealing with Zombies. Catch some waves, kill some zombies.

I had a lot of fun with this game. Its like the developers took Left 4 Dead and Borderlands, threw them in a blender and dumped their concoction all over the beach.
I advise any genre fans to pick it up. Its dirt cheap right now too. Current price is about $3-$5.

This game was pretty fun, but the best zombie killing weapon is the truck. I spent all my time just running over as many of them as possible. LoL
Have you played Escape Dead Island? It was a fun spin off game that's not too long but well worth picking up (especially given how cheap it is).
