Gaming Retrospective - Darksiders
Darksiders is a third person perspective action role playing game released in 2010 and was developed by the Vigil Games. Game is set on a post apocalyptic world where armies of heaven and hell are battling it out. The players take the role of one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, in this game we play as War, the chill and relaxed one. War will have to clear his name from accusations that he is responsable for the apocalypse and slay all who oppose him.
Gameplay is very similar to a God of War games where we play as one very powerful character capable of beating colossal enemies. War can also use many different weapons and later one can ride his faithful horse Ruin. He can also use his wrath powers when his wrath bar fills up, and when it is at it's full capacity War can shape shift into a powerful chaos form that can dish out a tons of damage. Enemies drop different orbs and War can upgrade his skills and use combo abilities. Darksiders is a very fluid action packed game that will offer you many hours of fun, after you finish this one, you can jump on Darksiders 2.
I played this game and the 2nd one. It was awesome and totally worth the time to play it. wish they would make more games like it..
Loved this game. Also loved the second and was excited for the direction they were going with the story for each horseman. I was pissed when the studio shut down. Hopefully the company that took over the series does it justice. (Can't think of the name as of writing this)

The new character is a woman correct? But her name isn't one of the 4 horseman that I recognize. Is she considered one of the four?
War, Death, Fury (lady) and Strife. Strife will be the last horseman in Darksiders 4, if it ever gets released.
Ahh thanks! I remember they wanted to do a 4 player co-op for the last one. That would be awesome.

Definitely one of the better action adventure games from last generation. It played really well and felt like a mashup between God of War and Zelda. Hopefully the four planned games will eventually get released.
What's are the system requirements to play this big game>?
It is a game from 2010. so you can have older PC, Dual core cpu, 1gb GPU, 4Gb of ram will be fine.
I am using 2 gb ram :-( i can't play it on my laptop i guess.

I own the original and the sequel on steam and have tried to get into the first one so many times, but I always get bored for some reason. There's no reason that I can even put my finger on though.
It seems like a great game, I just haven't been able to get into yet. Hopefully one of these days I'll be in just the right mood for it.
