Gaming Retrospective - Chrome
Chrome is a FPS game released in 2003 and developed by Polish studio Techland known for their Dead Island and Call of Juarez games. Chrome wasn't as popular as some hot FPS games of that era, but the game offered decent story and very advanced graphics for that time. Game is set in 22nd century and it revolves around a freelancer Bolt Logan and his missions on a remote planet Zorg. His goal is to deal with many enemies trying to kill him and deal with the conspiracy around Chrome which is a new found valuable mineral.
As FPS games go you can expect a lot of gun violence with cool futuristic weapons, and occasionally you could jump into vehicles and drive around the planet. You will fight a lot of enemies and they come in all shapes and sizes and range from futuristic soldiers to heavy mechs. Game features vast open areas so vehicles were very much needed to traverse the ground. There are 6 different ones to chose with different speeds and armaments. The game had some low key RPG elements where enemies drop various items which you can pick up and use from your inventory, and you could use various implants like increased speed and jump distance. Chrome was a decent futuristic FPS worth checking out.
