Command & Conquer Games: Tiberium Series

This is one my favorite gaming series. RTS games in an alternate timeline plagued by the alien substance named Tiberium. Even though Tiberium substance is highly radioactive it is also a fuel source for the war machines belonging to human factions GDI and NOD who are fighting it out. GDI had that good guys vibe while NOD are cultists lead by their infamous leader Kane. One thing that was also very fun about this series are cut scene animations that were acted by real actors, not too good I might add, but were great addition to the games. This is a very interesting series for the quick and addictive real time strategy games fans with one exception of hybrid game from the series "Renegade". Here are all the games from Tiberium series.

C&C Tiberian Dawn

Original game that started the whole franchise. This is how the great war between GDI and NOD started when the strange alien substance started appearing. Game was very similar to Red Alert from gaming standpoint with base building, resource collecting and fights between the two factions.

C&C Tiberian Sun

This was one of those rare games that I was most hyped about. Great looking graphics at the time was a big leap from Red Alert and Tiberium Dawn games. Main story in this game was 2nd Tiberum war between GDI and NOD. Game also introduced fighting mechs that added that extra SF layer to the game. I had great amounts of fun with this one and "Firestorm" expansion.

C&C Renegade

This game tried to change the formula of RTS and switch to First Person Shooter with some strategy elements. Game was pretty decent at the time with that hybrid mechanics and vehicle driving, if you could play it smoothly  at the time there was fun to be had.

C&C Tiberium Wars

Game about the 3rd tiberum war  with GDI and NOD, but this time aliens named Scrin joined the fight. 3rd faction brought interesting new mechanics to the game and were quite fun to play. This game also had a great expansion "Kane's Wrath" with fun new units.

C&C Tiberian Twilight

How to ruin one of the best franchises ever made, just take a look at this game. EA changed the winning formula in this one, from base building to mobile bases with must have online connection where you fight other players. Not the ending of the series we were hoping for, but who knows, maybe one day someone resurrects this series to greater heights.
