Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 Announced
This announcement happened fairly quickly only one year after first game was released. Gothic Armada is a space strategy game where you command massive capital ships of major Warhammer40k factions like Imperium of Man, Chaos, Orks and Eldar (Tau came with the first expansion). In this game you had a campaign missions, skirmish and multiplayer modes where you engaged in tactical space combat scenarios where ship positioning, speed, special abilities made a huge difference.
In Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 the developers from Focus Home Interactive will introduce a new story revolving around the latest incident in Warhammer40k universe called Gathering Storm, a storm that had destroyed most of the universe with warp energies of Chaos. In addition to that, all Warhammer40k factions will be playable, you can expect to see Necrons, Tyranids, Dark Eldar, all of them battling it out in the most epic of scopes. This will be good.
I haven't played a Space RTS since...Homeworld, I think? It looks very good though. I'd love to know more about 40k and its lore, but honestly its size is a bit overwhelming.
Man, it looks so good. The whole warhammer 40k lore always seemed so rich and interesting. Unfortunately I really suck at all these RTS style games that involve planning and strategy. Looks really nice though and maybe worth a shot. We'll see :)
Well, I have never really been a fan of space strategy games but with this short review, I think this game is cool enough for me to want try it out...downloading right away.
