Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker [Review] [Must Play]
This is the without a doubt, the best adaption of the Naruto Universe into a video game. A full 3D enviornment is available to ninjas that play this game. The new movement system is known as Acrobatic Ninja style. Characters have the ability to double jump, air dodge, and run on walls. These changes in movement, not seen on any other Naruto games will provide gamers with a dynamic experience that gives them the feeling that this is ACTUALLY Naruto we're playing, not just some other 2D fighter with ninja skins.
You can watch youtube videos for more specific coverage on character movement and how to improve, but for today, I'll be giving a wide over view of what the game has to offer. I will say, the maps on display give me the chills thinking about the possibilities!
Battle Modes but sadly No Battle Royale Mode*
Next up, we a see a new battle mode in Shinobi Stiker that has not been seen in any other Naruto games. Most games keep it fairly basic, with with just 1v1 and team fights. This game brings us something new with a multi-team based capture the flag game type. Players will use their ninja skills to cross a canyon and retrieve the enemy village's flag. With many games adding CTF, horde modes, and battle royale action to their games, it's no suprise that Shinobi Striker doesn't plan to be left in the dust. That said, dear god, if only they made a Naruto Battle Royale game. I'd probably pay $100 for a good world with all the villages and customize-able characters and moves...just throwing it out there. I know there are some devs reading this ;)
Speaking of custiization , this game does offer the first time in the Naruto Series where you can customize the appearance of your character.
There are a wide variety of options shown in the sneak peaks, but no word yet as to if more items will be added as DLC or unlocks. What we do know, is that this customization is part of what the developers are calling their Avatar system.
As part of your character build you will get to choose a weapon, sub weapon, ninja-type, and ninjutsu styles. This mix-up will make team dynamic play a vital role in the battles to come.
Character Fighting Types:
At least 5 Game Modes for this new entry have been announced, though some will not have the same online functionality as others.
Currently, the game is set to launch it's Beta, which was speculated for the end of September. With the game set to launch in Spring of 2018, fans are getting antsy to take their first crack at this awesome new addition to the Naruto series.
Below is some game play of the new online 4v4 Flag Mode.
