Programmer creates Donkey Kong-type game... for Harambe!
This Kong isn't like the others, this Kong is...Harambe! Yep, gone but not forgotten! A programmer in Boise Idaho has created a new game that is similar to the classic, Donkey Kong -- Harambe Kong.
The game is played as the mighty Harambe, who rose to internet fame after becoming the martyr to a child that had fallen into the ape enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo. Zoo officials shot Harambe to death, fearing he was getting to cuddly with the child. The child is now safe, and Harambe has been immortalized as an internet meme, and now, a game!
What's The Game Like?
In the game, players are Harambe, running and jumping to grab the most food for a high score, much like DK. However, this game has a few new additions. If Harambe touches a child on accident while trying to collect fruit, the game ends in a bloodbath.The creator says he's been working on the game for over a year now in his free time, and I think I can account for many internet meme enthusiast when I say "thank you, we appreciate it". He has also partnered with a local bar so that gamers can get the full arcade experience of this immortal classic.
Sailing has big ambitions for his master piece, and would like to see it on app stores, or maybe even Xbox.
