Hello friends, now I want to talk about something that I have a lot of love and I enjoy it to the fullest every time I do.

It's about my passion, but before we talk about what it is, first let's define its meaning.
What is a passion?
It is an emotion defined as a very strong feeling towards a person, subject, idea or object. Thus, passion is an intense emotion that encompasses enthusiasm or desire for something. The term also often applies to a lively interest or admiration for a proposal, cause, activity, and others.
To summarize, passion = emotion and / or enthusiasm for something.
What produces that sensation?
There are endless things that can generate this sensation, but it will depend on each person, since we are all different and we have very specific tastes that define us, make us who we are.
It can be:
- Hobby.
- Job.
- Idea.
- Thing.
- Conversation topic.
- People.

What is my passion?
It may seem silly or nerdy at first but it is something much deeper and for me they have a very important meaning and it is (drumbeat) ...
Video games, yes, I know, I'm a total nerd, nerdy, geek or whatever you want to call, but it's inevitable. Since I was very young I liked videogames, since I saw my older brother playing on his Nintendo 64, I fell completely in love with them.
There are people who are fans of:
- The movies.
- The comics.
- Books.
- Series
- Anime.
- Photographs.
- Paintings

And many more things, which do not make me the only "weird" in the world, in quotes because actually having different tastes is not being "weird", so leave me alone.
Why do I like them so much?
When they talk to me about "playing" or "videogames" for me it is synonymous with fun, having fun, enjoying with friends and best of all, from anywhere. Maybe it is already great for video games (I am 22 years old), but the emotion and the feeling that they give me, has not changed with the passing of the years.

Can you live on it?
Nowadays it is a reality, more and more people are dedicated to video games and usually earn a considerable amount of money, either:
- Professional Players (Esports).
- Streamers, emit direct playing (Dlive, Twitch).
- Videos about the video game (Youtube, Dtube).
- Blogs about the video game. (Steemit or any platform).
- Coaching (helping others and charging for the service).

And many other ways to take advantage of such talent, yes, playing video games in a prominent way and stand out from others, is something that not everyone is capable of doing, so I consider it a talent and skill.
The important is…
The important thing in this life is to be able to live from what we enjoy, the world changes, nowadays you can live practically of whatever it is. Thanks to technology and the internet that is constantly advancing, we have more and more tools to earn money in different ways.

It's just a matter of having an open mind friends, do not live locked in a bubble, you can take a big surprise.
Gaming is a mainstream hobby nowadays. It doesn't fit into the "nerdy" or "geek" area, unless most of the people of the world are nerds and geeks. If it is the case that most of the world are nerds and geeks, power to the nerds and geeks, but really being a gamer is mainstream nowadays. For one individual hobby, the amount of gamers is actually pretty impressive. Ofc there is quite a variation in the types of games that exist, and the amount that different people play, but those who play are still gamers and it is still quite a mainstream hobby.
It is true that people can make money from gaming too though but this isn't quite right: "The important thing in this life is to be able to live from what we enjoy, the world changes, nowadays you can live practically of whatever it is." The important thing in this life is actually just to be able to survive and move forward in life. If you can live from what you enjoy, rather than a job you hate, then clearly that is superior and I certainly think people should try to make a living out of their interests and what they like, but it isn't the most important part and if the passion based work isn't happening, keep trying at it, but you may have to look at other options too. Never give up on your passions, nor on making money from it if you wish to go down that route, but don't shoot yourself in the foot and miss out on the other good stuff life has to offer (to a degree these are things that rely on a stable income) by not taking other less enticing opportunities if they are what life deals you, I guess is what I'm trying to say. At 22, depending on your situation, you may have some time to try to work out what you can do with your passions before it is harder to do because you are juggling it with just general day to day life and survival, so if you are in the position to work out how to make a career out of your passions go for and give it your all. Just don't ignore that seemingly insignificant job that might pop up along the way, and think seriously about if it can help you achieve the other things in life you want to achieve as this sort of stuff can very much be a balancing act at times and you will need to work out priorities and make hard decisions along the way. If you are studying, definitely get some experience while you are studying, either in the area you are studying, in going for making gaming work for you by trying one of the things you just suggested, in another area you think you would enjoy working in or just a random job that will give you some basic customer service etc experience as as long as you don't take so much on that you fail study, none of this will bite you in the butt but might help you later on.
If you are serious about gaming, I'd if I were you take a bit of your leisure time and use it to take the leap to do one of the things you said you can do with gaming to make a living and give it a shot. Gaming is great just for leisure too but if you are truly interested in making an income from something you enjoy, you should give it a shot. It's also good fun. Editing can be work at times in the case of videos, but it is fun.
As for your question as to our passions, mine include gaming, animation, video creation, game development, visual art, programming, board games (I guess that's covered in gaming but people tend to only think of video games with that phrase), and creative writing among other things. I'd like to make a proper income from it one day and I'm not giving up on the possibility of that, but in the meantime other things need to come into play to pay for food and rent and all that good stuff. I'm sure eventually I will be making a proper income from video creation since I can't see myself ever completely giving it up and I intend to still be doing it by Shirley Curry's age and that gives me quite a while to succeed financially with it.
Good luck with whatever you do, gaming and otherwise. And I don't know who is calling you a nerd or a geek, but gaming is way too mainstream for playing it to make you a nerd or a geek.
