You know what's scary, if there's an infinite amount of universes scanning an infinite amount of timelines, then somewhere life lasts for a very long time unless you are killed by another person.

And since the people of this reality know the penalty of just killing someone would be too great considering the fact the person can live forever, they made different types of punishments.

So in this particular alternate timeline, some poor schmuck probably killed someone over a cheeseburger and now they have to visit and explore every planet on the Vanilla No Man's sky.

Talk about cruel and unusual punishment.
