We are flying blind. Investigate research building for Intel and lay C4 to prevent opposition's plans from being continued by others

It is our second day into Call of Duty Strike Team and it is getting more absorbing. Our last episode - which was fraught with basic tutorials- was about securing the area and getting an intel. Apparently, we are still there. Just in another section of the area; in another environment just outside the gate...

Still Marshall and Reed with the Vector K10 and LSAT guns respectively. It is high time I upgraded the 'PRO Flak Jacket' which will ensure a better chance against the enemy firepower, it reduces damage taken by 25%. I will also get some squad perks like the bandolier which increases starting ammos for all primary weapons, the sonic boom which increases the blast radius of my bombs, and the 'sleight of hand' which reduces loading time for my primary weapons. There are only three slots for perks so relevance of each perk should be considered before equipping.

Overlord comes in via the comms and requests for status update. Reed tells him we just secured the exterior and we are edging closer to the research building. Overlord emphasizes the need not to attract undue attention en route. The summary of the objective right now is to get into the server bay, extract info/intel and leave nothing behind for the russians. We start with the drone view which is very important in the easy movement of the team. Unfortunately as we proceed, the team encounter an hostile whom Marshall tries to eliminate with the shortgun, he had hoped to make a 'one-shot-kill' but the enemy escapes and the alarm goes off. The whole compound is blaring and the enemies are firing.

Now in FPS mode which allows for autonomous shooting, the play is shifted to Reed who quickly makes enemy kills. His LSAT gun could pass for a machine gun with the way bullets are sprayed. In no time, he salvages the situation. Even though the alarm is still annoyingly blaring, the enemies lie cold on the floor with their guns heavily resting on their chest. I must commend the developers on the ability to maintain visibility even in a dark environment with fog as a mobile game. You will need to constantly call on your team mate with the call button whenever you are on the move in FPS mode else, you will end up leaving your team mate far behind you. It is somewhat easier to remember your team mate from the drone view than on the FPS mode.

We are in the research building now and Reed updates overlord. The latter tells them to locate the security console and Reed says he is going to find the weapons engineer, assuming he's still alive. As we move further into the building, overlord says the door are on lockdown and we need to find the security office in order to unlock it. A sub objective for us. An ostensible moment of relief here as Reed locates the nerve-racking alarm, he proceeds to disable it but it wasn't as easy as envisaged. Of course, enemies have never failed to miss the welcome party and they fire shots at him which inhibits his progress in disabling the alarm, he couldn't possible defend himself. Marshall wades in and defends his teammate, although outnumbered.

We move into a room where we find a laptop and Reed hacks it. Interestingly but sadly, we just unlocked our security door and the road is plagued by gun-weilding, not so friendly stern looking hostile. Our new objective is to locate the rogue physicist. I have not been using Marshall due to his earlier error but I'm willing to let him lead the way this time, afterall it was his short gun that protected Reed when he was shutting the alarm up. No sooner had we breached the security door than we find our Infamous physicist. Marshall knifes him in the hand and asks for access to the server bay but his answer was not expected, "Go to hell" he says and Marshall kills him. However, on searching his body, he finds a note which may be of use. We are to proceed to the server bay.

If one of the squad is seen by the camera the alarm will be triggered. Use the drone view to see the view of cones of the cameras and time your teams' movement to avoid detection

Marshall's shortgun has been able to clip the hostiles so far. We are in the server bay now and overlord commands that we copy the files and nuke the contents. Marshall hacks it as commanded and updates Overlord of the job done, he then tells the team to scrub the site and get out of the area. We are to plant C4 charges all over the building. Charges set! Clearing out (Enemies are all over the place though). The lead role is given to Reed in order to finish up quickly and we clear out of the building. Once outside, the bombs are detonated and the episode ends.

I’ve never been much of a stealth style kind of player. I would be setting off alarms and having to gun my way out. At the very least have a pile of bodies as I make my way to cut the alarm.

Reminds me of a couple of other games I’ve not played in quite some time. Trying sneak around find key to doors, take out mission objectives and disable alarms and cameras as you control a group.

Lol. I prefer the stealth though; Taking them out silently, leaving them oblivious of what is hitting 'em

Another game bang by you
