Super Mario Odyssey : Nintendo Switch

The New Super Mario Odyssey is a new kind of monster.

This Mario is nothing like previous marios, as far as 3d mario games go this is the best one I have played since Mario 64 on Nintendo 64.

The Switch really shines when playing this game, Graphics look amazing, and the world's are very well made, and thought out.

So the story is sort of familiar, as you are once again saving Princess Peach from the Evil Bowser.

This game is in NO way like past Mario games other than the obvious foe, You no longer get power ups like traditional mario games, instead Nintendo opted to have Mario's Hat be alive.

Mario's hat when he throws it on the head of ALOT of different enemies he takes them over, possess them if you will, and takes on their look except with a mario hat and iconic mustache, and he also takes on their powers.

Yes you can even take over a Freakin' Dinosaur lol. T-Rex Mario Anyone?

As you can see there is even a level where you go around a city, kind of like new york city, but it is kind of modeled after Donkey Kong!

Mario even rides around on a Scooter, which is pretty fun.

The object of the game is to win levels, defeat bosses, and collect Power Moons, these moons allow you to power up your ship.

Once you have enough Power Moons you can go to different levels, and eventually when the Base Game is Over , do not worry there is still WAY more power moons to collect.

Why Collect them well you unlock a hidden level called the DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, you can find out what that is yourself when you play the game.

But wait there is more, after that you still have to unlock wait for it ............THE DARKER SIDE OF THE MOON..... Yes a second hidden level!

Needless to say there is ALOT to do in the game, I personally found the base game to be a little short, however having said that it delivered an amazing experience, and the hidden levels add more to do.

Nintendo recently revealed they are releasing FREE DLC for Mario Odyssey !!!

This should be coming out some time in February! So from what I understand it will unlock a new mode called BALLOON WORLD !

So your back in the Donkey Kong city talking to Luigi !

So your going to be hiding balloons around the city, and other players have to find your balloons, kind of like hide and seek if you will, or capture the flag.

The are also putting out some new costumes to enjoy as well There are MANY costumes available in the game
