Old school Sierra games
I bought a Humble Bundle of Sierra On-Line games a couple years ago but only recently redeemed the codes on Steam. The past week and a half I have been playing some Space Quest games.
Beginning with Space Quest I: The Sarien Encounter.
I remembered several parts of this from when I played it years ago, when it was new. I spent a few days playing through it, a bit at a time until I successfully beat it.
Here is the ceremony at the end where I received the Golden Mop Award.
And the end of the game.
Then I started playing Space Quest II: Vohaul's Revenge.
I remembered less of this one from my original play-through. Some things were more recognizable but it took a bit more work to complete. However, I spent more time with this one and it only took me a couple days to complete.
Now I will start work on the next installment and post with more info after I complete a couple more.

I've actually been doing some "historical" gaming posts lately, covering noteworthy games released in certain years (just made two about 91 and 2000) and I actually still vaguely remember some bits and pieces from Space Quest, but your post made me want to give it another go :)
Yeah, it's nostalgic if nothing else. The graphics aren't anything spectacular but the game play is still fun.
Your historical posts sound interesting, I may have to watch for them.
