Club Nintendo first started back in 1989 as a free to join loyalty scheme, members where sent bi-monthly magazines featuring reviews of both NES and Gameboy titles, as well as hints, tips and cheats, international leader boards for game top scores etc. While the issues were numbered, your first issue was Club Nintendo Classics featuring some of the system's top titles like Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda and Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles on NES and Super Mario Land, Tetris, and Castlevania on Gameboy.

Club Nintendo has existed in many forms over the years, being discontinued and relaunched numerous times. The original run of magazines were available in Europe, Mexico and Australia. The European issues were published in a number of different languages, and available in Germany, Spain, Greece, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Slovenia.

Below are scans primarily from the Club Nintendo Classics issue, and a few covers of other issues.

That imagery takes me to my childhood.
This magazine was never in the US so naturally I wouldn't have had it. However, I grew looking at Nintendo Power. Very similar. image
