MisCon is all about Gaming for us
At MisCon the long running game for Saturday was The Evolution Matrix. The picture above was how the GMs tracked the different portions of the game as it happened between 10 AM and Midnight.
I got there around 6 pm and chose to play Dawg. Dawg was a genetic experiment, human body but the mind of a dog. I was my own best friend. They found me in a crate at a lab and freed me, so I joined the crew and helped them to escape the bad guys.
There were at least 22 players for the 3 table finale that started at 10 pm. By midnight we had been mutated into almost-super heroes by a mutagenic chemical release and then stormed a cult complex and defeated the bad guy. Hurrah!
On Monday I played in my friend Joel's game, he had the best miniatures! This was the villain we had to defeat-
And we encountered a very scary shark thing along the way!
We defeated the scary lady with the help of our wizards new familiar- he calls him Puppy!
There were several other games I played in over the course of the weekend, but since I also Volunteer to work in Registration every day, I don't game as much as I could. I love volunteering at the convention as it lets me meet a lot of neat people.
My husband, @lordvdr, ran about 23 hours of gaming himself, and the Black Shield Productions crew ran at least 111 total hours of gaming between Friday at noon and Monday at 2 pm. Plus several other friends ran 3 and 4 hour long one-shot games over the same period.
And we partied a bit in the evenings, and played other games like Joking Hazard and Its Not My Fault.
If you like gaming, MisCon is a pretty nice way to spend the Memorial Day weekend.
And if you Really like Gaming, you might want to check out the Great Falls Gaming Rendezvous which happens the first weekend of October this year. Http://WWW.GFGR.org
That sounds like a full on weekend! Those miniatures are amazing.
It was pretty awesome. And those are just the 3 big ones, all the smaller ones were amazing too.
It's gaming, gaming, gaming! And some beer consumption. And some sleep at points around those.
wow, those miniatures are painted really well!
I agree, Joel is one of the most talented creature painters I know.
There wa a mini painting contest at the Great Falls Gaming Rendezvous one year, if you like to paint fantasy and sci-fi minis, you might check it out. The Great Falls gamers do a lot of wargaming at Kellys Comics and he has a lot of painting stuff there, in case you haven't checked his store out.
God Bless You!
