Iconic Characters: Bigby Wolf

Bigby Wolf, that's how he calls himself now who was known as "The Big Bad Wolf." Bigby is the sheriff of Fabletown, he has a duty to protect the fables of humans and themselves. He is a man of his word, rebellious and independent and has no scruples or mercy with those who threaten Fabletown, but no doubt his commitment to Fabletown and the fables is beyond doubt.

Bigby Wolf in a memorable character for many reasons, but the main one without a doubt is his personality. He is rebellious and independent, but he is also someone committed to Fabletown, and being the sheriff of the town he must act as such, being the person in charge of enforcing the law and of dispensing justice in a rotten city. Bigby is the sheriff, this means that in the most difficult circumstances he has to be able to stay calm, but sometimes keeping calm is complicated, because he has to constantly fight against his own nature.

Bigby's fight against his own instincts that I mentioned earlier is a key factor in the story, because through this we can get to understand the protagonist, and we can even get to feel identified with him. And it is that everyone at some point in our lives have acted impulsively, either because of fear or some other reason.

Bigby after all the events that happened before there was Fabletown, he proposed to change, but he has not yet been able to achieve this. He has problems to maintain control of himself, and although he tries to be different, the fables do not make it easy for him, the latter maybe because of the fear or resentment they feel for someone who was once known as "The big bad wolf". He feels disappointed, because although it is supposed that everything was going to be different in Fabletown, reality is different for our Bibby Wolf, since there is no "potion" or "enchantment" that can make people forget the past.

The first impression I had of Bigby Wolf was that he was a lonely, cold and distant person, but he certainly is much more than that. He is an astute detective who despite being a wolf does not need to resort to his animal instincts to solve a crime, he investigates the crime scenes, analyzes the clues and discovers the truth through the interrogatory. Bigby has also proved to be someone who is not afraid of getting his hands dirty, in order to protect the fables, and is that while Bigby tries to change, sometimes it is necessary for him to resort to his wild nature.

Without a doubt, I believe that the arguments presented above are more than enough to consider Bigby Wolf a Iconic Character.
