Super Mario Galaxy was one of the games that caught me in its time for various reasons, and it deserves all the merit for being so great and fun, this is why I chose to dedicate a publication, I think it deserves to be played by all those lovers of adventure games.

Super Mario Galaxy has the classic story of Mario where we must save Princess Peach, but with another theme; galactic and even new game modes. This game of Nintendo was released for the Wii console in 2007 in America, Europe ,and Japan, becoming the first game of the classic Mario series that premieres for this console.

We know that in almost all sagas of Mario the mission is to rescue Peach from the hands of the evil Bowser, all this through tours of different worlds or levels where we will meet several bosses, etc. But What exactly does Super Mario Galaxy have to offer? What makes it new? Why should we play it?

It all begins during an event of an important festival celebrated in the Mushroom Kingdom called the Festival of the Stars, which commemorated the passage of a giant comet that passes once every 100 years. Bowser had the opportunity to attack that day and appeared descending from the sky along with several flying ships, kidnapping the castle and everyone who was inside that day, then went into space. Princess Peach has once again been kidnapped and when Mario tries to stop this, one of Bowser's henchmen uses his magic wand to make it disappear through the cosmos.

Comet Observatory

After all the chaos, Mario wakes up on a small planet where he meets Princess Rosalina and her Lumas, she introduces herself as the guardian of the universe and directs a ship called the Comet's Planetarium, this is when we learn that Bowser has also stolen all the Power Stars that provide the necessary energy for the Planetarium. Rosalina asks Mario to help her restore the source of power she needs so that the Comet Observatory can return to travel through space, but not before endowing it with a Luma, which gives new movements and attacks according to the space .

From here, Mario embarks on his intergalactic adventure where he will meet several galaxies and planets collecting all the Power Stars that are possible to return the energy to the Comet Observatory, and at the same time with the hope of rescuing Peach.

As the name says, Super Mario Galaxy develops through outer space, along with all the elements of space; galaxies, planets, stars, supernovas, comets, superstars and even space ships.

The levels this time will be called Galaxies, which are composed of several planets that have special features, and cosmic remnants, which offer the player the possibility to explore extra areas.

The main attraction of this video game is the modality that uses physics and gravitational force because the theme has decided to incorporate some realism with gravity, something that is really interesting and difficult to control sometimes.

In the journey of the different planets you can notice that not all have the gravity as we know it on earth, allowing total displacement by the planets, walking not only horizontally but also head and side, this, and more is what makes it interesting when you can play with all these elements, will make the experience unique.

The levels in this game must be overcome through the correct use of gravity, that is, to use in a logical and effective way the gravitational force for our benefit, with the sole purpose of completing the level.

Planet

The Comet Observatory acts as the central axis, a medium that interconnects the levels, allowing the exploration of all of them, as the Power Stars are collected, unlocking more zones and levels.

Bee Mario:

This power appears in the shape of a bee mushroom for the first time in the Galaxy of the Bees, with this power can temporarily float in the air and climb walls similar to honeycombs, in order to discover new areas.

Boo Mario.

This power appears for the first time in the Ghostly Galaxy, with which it will take on an aspect like that of Boo, but with its characteristic mustache and red cap, with this power, it can become invisible, go through obstacles and walls. You can also scare Luigi by being this way.

Fire Mario

This power appears for the first time in the Galaxy Volcano Frost, Mario will take his classic appearance of shirt and white cap and red pants when he takes the Flower of Fire, with this power you can attack the enemies with fireballs and Mario can withstand very hot temperatures.

Ice Mario

This power appears for the first time in the Galaxy Green Beach, Mario will take on a fire-like appearance but the shirt and cap turn blue instead of white, with this power he has the ability to skate on any liquid surface I step on turning it into ice.

Flying Mario

This power appears for the first time in the Celestial Gate Galaxy, after completing a special mission almost ending the game, Mario will change his color suit, his cap turns black along with his pants and his shirt turns red . This power, as its name says, allows it to fly very high.

Rainbow Star Mario

This power appears for the first time in the Celestial Gate Galaxy. This power can be understood as the Mario Star version of the Mario saga, with this power we already know that Mario is invincible, can beat almost all enemies, run faster and jump higher.

After being used to the typical Mario Saga mode, platform type and second person type like Super Mario 64, this option is very attractive. Playing a classic in such a different and crazy way as playing with gravitational force is a challenge. I must also mention that I love the galaxy theme.

This game promises to entertain you a lot, have fun and get to sweat trying to advance between the worlds, play with gravity, try not to be absorbed by a black hole or fall into chasms. A part has a way to play in multiplayer with which you could invite someone else to join the adventure.

This game continues in two more versions, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and 3, both for the Nintendo Wii U and later were released for the Nintendo Switch. For those who are interested, you can try it in these newer versions.
