Kano is the leader of the Black Dragon Crimean kingdom. Making a first-aid appearance at Mortal Kombat: Special Forces, he frees fellow Black Dragonkohort No Face, Tasia, Jarek and Tremor from the US Special Security Forces facility, under the pretext that they will reform the Black Dragon organization.

In fact, he intends to use them as a pawn to slow down every single agent. Special Forces who might pursue him. Destroy an entire squad in a prison resting place, he and his followers escape the scene.

With his Black Dragon association assigned to their assigned task, Kano goes to Outtworld where he recovers Shitian Eyes, the artifacts through which he will gain extraordinary powers. Unfortunately for him, however, Major Jackson Briggs has overcome his accomplices and was appointed to him.

Both struggled, and Kano was defeated. Jax's eyes are used to transport them back to Earthrealm, and continue to bring Kano into custody even though he will soon run away.
