XPET: The Beginner's Guide

Take a classic Play 2 Earn, make it meet the Tamagotchi, sprinkle with a little Twitter (X) and you'll get Xpet!

Xpet aims to be Social-Fi + Game-Fi, available on the Arbitrum network, accessible by installing an extension to your Chrome, Opera or Edge browser or via mobile.

The basic principle is simple: you have virtual animals (Pets) which will harvest Berries, these berries will be transformed into $BPET (virtual currency and game token) thanks to the Factory. By connecting the application to Twitter, you will go hunting for chests on Twitter (X), with food and sometimes tokens inside (at the start of the adventure).

Then the strategy comes into play, you have to improve your Pet so that it is more productive but also improve your Factory to transform the berries into tokens more quickly.

The objective of this guide is to help you with the main elements you need to know to get the adventure off to a good start.

Disclaimer: important to start with this, this guide is not investment advice, do your research, only invest what you are prepared to lose, especially considering the hype around the token which in a few days makes a x10. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to visit the FBU discord.

Installing the extension
To get started, go to the official xPet website and download the extension for your browser (Chrome, Edge or Opera). Next, go to Platform X (formerly Twitter) to access the game.

You will need to enter an invitation code. You can use my code xpet_d2544d33 to increase your earnings and above all support the work done to create this guide ^^

If you have already added a code, you can change it by going to “My Wallet” > “Invite friends”. Enter my code xpet_d2544d33 and click “Update” to start playing xPet.

Deposit ETH on the Arbitrum network
You can play xPet for free in Free 2 Play, but it will take time to progress, in fact, you must reach level 7 of your Pet to start earning passive income.

If you use a web3 wallet like MetaMask, you will need to “bridge” your ETH to the Arbitrum network. This is the network used by xPet. You can make this transfer at https://bridge.arbitrum.io/.

Once you have bridged your ETH to Arbitrum, select the Arbitrum network at the top of your MetaMask wallet. You will then see your ETH in your Arbitrum wallet, and you can send them to your xPet wallet.

If you are sending ETH from an exchange, you may be able to send it directly to the Arbitrum network. Always make sure to select the Arbitrum network option before sending your ETH.

Buy XPET or BPET token
You have the possibility to “block” your ETH to receive $XPET in exchange, but here we will focus on the “swap” ETH against XPET/BPET. Explanation :

In your xPet wallet, go to “Settings” and enable 2FA two-factor authentication. Next, click “Export” and copy your private key.
Go to your MetaMask wallet and click on “Account 1”. Then, select “Add an account or hardware wallet”
Paste the private key of your xPet wallet. Your two wallets will then be synchronized.
To add both game tokens, click “Import Tokens”. Add these two game tokens:

Now you can trade your ETH for these tokens directly on MetaMask or Uniswap.

Your $BPET and $XPET will appear directly in-game and in your xPet wallet.

The new PvE mode
Once your Pet reaches level 10, they will be able to participate in PvE “Adventure” mode, a new feature that allows your Pet to go on adventures and earn rewards. There are three levels of Adventure, each offering different rewards and having specific eligibility criteria. Level 1 is for Pets level 10-29, Level 2 is for Pets level 30 or higher, and Level 3 is only open during special events. Rewards in Adventure Mode are distributed based on the proportion of players in each Level and the level of your Pet. You also have a chance to receive xEGG fragments by participating in the Adventure, useful for future Xpet mechanics.

Strategies to get started:
The first BPETs that you find in the chests can only be used to improve your Pet (no withdrawal possible)
Use codes allowing you to obtain boosters via sponsorships: xpet_5ebf1b1e
The boosters last for 7 days, renewable depending on the actions carried out (upgrade, etc.)
To generate passive income, you must upgrade your Pet to level 7 to start farming (producing berries)
To be able to “upgrade” your Factory, your Pet must reach level 10.
Your Pet collects berries (depending on its level), and your Factory converts these berries into BPET (depending on its level), you then have to find a balance between “collection” and “conversion”
Improve your Pet to level 10 then focus on improving the Factory to avoid being in “over-production” of berries.
If the Berries take a long time to run out > Improve the Factory
If the Pet's health decreases too quickly > Improve the Pet
The more friends you invite, the more earnings and boosts you will have.
Boosts also depend on the level of the sponsor (xpet_5ebf1b1e)
Boosts are active for the godchild and the sponsor, even when the sponsor performs actions, your boost improves.
The circle of life
One of the particularities of game and avoid untimely cash-outs (which would lead to a drop in the value of the token)

Comment faire des gains ?
Depuis l’arrivée du mode PvE, les cartes ont un peu été rebattues, désormais, et comme évoqué ci-dessus, le mode FARM ne permet pas d’obtenir plus de BPET que votre investissement initial (+ upgrade).

Le mode PvE vous permettra de générer des gains mais attention, il ne faut pas claim tous les jours mais seulement au bout d’un certain temps car à chaque “claim” que vous ferez, vous perdrez 3 niveau de Pet (il faudra donc bien calculer)

Le mode PvP est lui encore bien secret, plus d’infos donc à venir…
