Heroic characters who beat the enemies to save the day in a suit of armor and then walk away with inspirational quotes is awesome. Their hi-tech suit is not only looks dope, but also increases the wearer's ability and even grant them new powers and suppports them with several features. The following characters are some of the badass characters in futuristic armor.

Marcus Fenix (Gears of War)

The professional leader of the C.O.G's Delta Squad, he is an excellent fighter in hand to hand fight and is a formidable marksman. Not easy to take down but can easily take down Locust Hordes by himself. His strong, durable, yet light COG Armor is made of mysterious alloy from the planet of Sera. Its magnetic weapons holster on the back allows soldiers to carry extra weapons. The rest of the body parts isn't as heavy as its torso, which provides protection to vital organs without sacrificing mobility and his aggressively cold nature.

Isaac Clarke (Dead Space)

Isaac Clarke is no soldier, but he survived through a messed up spaceship full of disgusting nightmares. As a CEC Engineer, Isaac is extremely resourceful. His best abilities are hacking, repairing and dismantling electronic devices, and has extensive knowledge of high-tech mining tools and weapons, which he uses to his advantage. His RIG Suits basic features include health management, holographic displays, navigation system, and glowing stuff that makes it awesome. His ability to deal with insane circumstances without succumbing to madness  is what make him badass.

Samus Aran (Metroid)

The melancholic intergalactic bounty hunter. With her superhumanly increased abilities and her upgradeable Varia Suit, she can take Space Pirates and other giant monsters such as Parasite Queen and Meta Ridley, or even her doppleganger Dark Samus like it was no big deal. Not only she is capable of run faster and jump higher far past normal humans could, she also capable of survives from fall that could kill ordinary humans, and more adaptive to unfriendly alien environments, thanks to her infusion with Chozo DNA.

Master Chief (Halo)

Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, or Master Chief for short, as we always call him, the augmented super soldier who lead the Spartans protecting the humanity. Without his armor, John is already has great strength, superior reflexes and nearly unbreakable bones. He is basically a walking tank with high speed in his MJOLNIR armor. Even the almost unstoppable Covenant Empire fear the lethality of Spartans and refer to them as "Demon", but most commonly use the name to refer to Master Chief.

Prophet (Crysis)

Major Laurence "Prophet" Barnes is another hardcore soldier armed with his Nanosuit that has bonded to his skin and nerves. Prophet can jump higher, punch harder, and lose himself from the enemy's sight by activating cloak mode to enter invisibility. However, with each modification to the Nanosuit, he becoming less man and more machine, less human and more Ceph. But that's one of the reason why Prophet is badass, he sacrifice his own humanity to save the day.

Sam Gideon (Vanquish)

There is nothing like duck in to cover with knee-slide in high speed with jet engines strapped to every inch of your body. Sam Gideon, a DARPA soldier armed with the experimental Augmented Reaction Suit is the guy. His suit is not only greatly increases Sam's reaction time, but also provides extremely high defensive capabilities while maintaining superior mobility. Fight through the enemies in high speed, recover a space station in high speed, smoke in high speed.

Doomguy (Doom)

The BFG wielding legend, the original video game space marine. He has a number of terrific nicknames; DOOM Marine, Doom Slayer, Hell Walker, Unchained Predator, Scourge of Hell, and our most familiar name Doomguy. In his Praetor Suit, this guy can take demon hordes of hell all day long, not only by his badass nicknames but also with his acrobatic skills and abilities, and a bunch of weapons that he can carry all at once without being weighed down.

Jim Raynor (Starcraft)

This is Jimmy. The former terran marshal turned rebel. He developed good leadership and excellent tactical keeness through practical experience. Rather than plan in depth, Raynor is an excellent improviser who is able to achieve victory using what is on hand. Armed with his big bulky CMC-400 Powered Combat Suit that provides shielding and life support, stored ammunition in the oversized shoulder pads, and an integrated stimpack system which enhance his reaction time to a further degree, Jimmy is ready to kick tons of zerg asses.
