More Vague Yet Exciting News About the Next Dragon Age
"That's what happen when you try to change things. Things change. You can't always control how."
-Hawke (Dragon Age: Inquisition)
I'm back! And with a great news (hopefully) for us gamers, especially for those who are expecting more of Dragon Age game. Opened my Twitter feed after a while and I stumbled upon this exciting tweet from BioWare's general manger, Casey Hudson, stating that we'll be "relieved" to see what they are working on on Dragon Age.
As Casey Hudson said, the next Dragon Age game will be story and character focused. Reading this short 2 paragraph tweet is like staring at a puzzle in the game, wondering what the result would be. It is unclear whether the story here will be the continuation of Dragon Age: Inquisition - Trespasser--going after Solas to stop his plan--or not.
For me, I don't mind if the game is not as open world as DA: Inquisition as long as the story isn't going to strays from where we left. But again, like the man said, it's still too early to talk details, so we can only hope.
However, although it is unclear how the "live" element of this next Dragon Age will be, there are fans who are...you could say uneasy in that regard which is probably due to EA's approach to games as a service.
We've been getting 'teased' by vague tweets about next Dragon Age game since last year, from Mike Laidlaw's tweet answering a fan's question, and the Eurogamer interview with Alexis Kennedy--Sunless Sea creator--who is working with BioWare's Dragon Age team as one of the best semi-official confirmation about the game's existence to calm yourself.
Plus one more tweet from the Executive Producer of Dragon Age franchise Mark Darrah not so long ago that you can see below, suggesting that the game is exist.
Although it's still vague, I think that's enough to confirm that next Dragon Age game is in development, especially the newest one from Casey Hudson. There's so many things I wish will be implemented in the game, but because of the vagueness of the news, I think I'll wait a little bit more to made up what I wish to see.
BioWare is strong in the character development, in my opinion. Many characters they made are crafted in such depths so well that it makes BioWare is one of the best devs when it comes to character writing. Not the best perhaps, but one of the best.
Deeply written characters made it more difficult to make decisions in the games because you're emotionally invested in them, thinking so hard which choices are the best for your relationship with her, him, and them, and then either be glad, sad, or guilty for it after, is something I believe many of us loved to have in a game. With the only problem is how impactful the decisions are to the story, how drastic it shifts your progression.
And because of that, that's why for this next Dragon Age game I'm okay with the game not being open world because what I expect most out of it is the emotional rollercoaster from the story and the characters. So if they managed to create more well crafted story and characters to laugh at, mad at, and cry over, the open world setting would be a plus I'd appreciate and enjoy in this game.
Well, that's just my opinion, I don't know about you guys. Thanks for stopping by, Steemian!

Follow me, would you kindly?
I've never actually played a Dragon Age game before looks at Dragon Age: Inquisition on his shelf – never been played before but I'm excited for a new Dragon Age game.
…
That is if Bioware still exists after Anthem.
After the debacle of Mass Effect: Andromeda I would not be surprised by EA just closing BioWare if Anthem doesn't do well.
EA has some history regarding this …
Ugh I don't even want to think of it, "BioWare end up ded like those other studios, thanks to EA." I can only hope that we won't see that sort of news
anytime soonever. I'm not a BioWare fan, but still..Anyway, there's no reason not to try DA:I (Which I... assume you have it), it's pretty good in a way that I couldn't explain in short.
