Dragon Age: Knight Errant - The Thief and the Storyteller

"Oh it's been great. Murderous Wardens, Archdemon attacks, plenty of blood Mages, and crazy Templars. Just like home."

-Varric Tethras (Dragon Age)

If you are a fan of Dragon Age and still want more story of BioWare's greatly crafted fantasy universe, you might be interested in this BioWare's Dragon Age comic published by Dark Horse Comics called
Dragon Age: Knight Errant. It's a five-part comic with the story centered on a talented elven thief named Vaea who travel with Ser Aaron and overcome unexpected conflict that seems to be too much for her.

Dragon Age: Knight Errant involving the appearance of many Dragon Age games' characters and parties such as Sebastian Vael, (King) Alistair, your favorite storyteller Varric Tethras, Knight Commander Meredith, the Inquisition, the Venatori, and some other cameos of fan-favorite NPCs along Vaea's story.

Here's the synopsys of Dragon Age: Knight Errant.

"Elven squire Vaea and her knight arrive in Kirkwall for Varric Tethras’ appointment as Viscount. A talented thief, Vaea takes on an easy job... but when she chooses to change the terms of the deal mid-heist, she is entangled in a dangerous mission that is surely above her pay grade."

As you can see above, the story take place in Kirkwall. But as the story goes the comic take the reader to Edgehall and Starkhaven too. As for the time of the event, according to Dragon Age series' Creative Director Mike Laidlaw, it occur after the event of Dragon Age: Inquisition's latest DLC, Trespasser where Varric has become the Viscount of Kirkwall and has officially left the Inquisition (it makes me sad, really) but still happily helps them when they need him.

If you play Dragon Age: Inquisition, you must know how Inquisition knows almost everything in Ferelden and Orlais, and probably all of Thedas. Almost no secrets can be hidden from them. That could add to the reasons to be interested in this comic. In here, the Inquisition's action probably represented by only one of Leliana's spy, agent Charter, but it's enough to show how they know everything. As Vaea work with Charter and Varric, she run into worse problem that she didn't expect in the first place.

Take a look to a few sneak peek of the four issues below. You can find the first issue here; Dragon Age: Knight Errant #1, and the other issues here; Dragon Age: Knight Errant. Produced by Nunzio DeFilippis, Christina Weir (writers), Fernando Heinz Furukawa, Michael Atiyeh (artists), and Sachin Teng (cover artist), the story and the cool arts does looks interesting to me.

Varric welcome Vaea and Ser Aaron arrival in Kirkwall in the first issue.

Agent Charter approach Vaea in the second issue.

Varric accompanies Vaea to Starkhaven, talking about the Inquisition in third issue. (Wait, where is Bianca?)

Vaea find herself in a bigger trouble, fourth issue.

Each of the issues cost $3.99, it looks like it's close to its end with the fifth issue coming out 13 September 2017. This is pretty good to get into if you want to know more of what happen in Dragon Age after Trespasser while waiting for the next Dragon Age game, don't you think?

@gaming-stuff I like your submit. I have followed you.

This is so epic. I'm a huge Dragon Age fan, although I haven't read anything - just played the games back to front, over and over again.

Huge Dragon Age fan? Good for you, because I heard there's more Dragon Age game coming.. But I don't know the release date, so we just wait

Wao spectacular, I am big fan of Dragon Age and reading this I love many thanks for sharing this all great.

You're welcome. I'm happy to share this with Dragon Age fans in here, glad you love it

This is amazing! I'm a Dragon Age fan, and I finished the first last month, I'm at the end of the second, and I'm going to play the Inquisition next.

So addicted! Such a beautiful world they created!

Cheers.

Agree, there's some of the designs that I don't like, but overall the Dragon Age universe is beautiful.

If you play Inquistion, it's best to get the DLCs too, especially Trespasser. I don't want to spoil any further because the story is really good. So if you happen to see my other posts about Dragon Age: Inquisition, be careful haha.
