It is, according to its creators, the first action RPG title set in this aspect of the board game and miniatures. In Warhammer: Chaosbane will allow us to embody a human, a high elf, a Silvan elf or a dwarf and enjoy a trip that will take us to visit some of the cities and emblematic settings of the mythology of this particular fantasy world, such as the damn and besieged city of Praag or the well-known capital of the Empire, Nuln.

My opinion after playing:

It is almost inevitable that when watching or playing Warhammer: Chaosbane does not remind us of the Diablo saga, but we imagine that was precisely one of the intentions of Eko Software and Bigben Interactive: making a Devil with the setting and background of Warhammer. Blizzard does not have to worry about the moment, his throne is still far from being threatened, although that does not mean that Warhammer: Chaosbane is a fun game despite being far from the polish saga on which it is inspired.

The world of Warhammer: Chaosbane is dark as we might expect from the license - although I would have liked a bit more gore - and the first impression is positive even though the chosen camera does not allow to see all the details of the scenario. The sewers, fortresses, forests and other locations look great, the maps usually have bottlenecks and other obstacles with which to play for our benefit and the soundtrack although it does not stand out too much accompanies well.

The pity is that each new mission usually takes place in a reordering of the same elements, enemies and decoration, which after a few hours reveals its seams, as well as not having many secrets, and enough creatures have little aesthetic changes between areas. , so any comparison with Diablo III does not do Chaosbane much good.

Perhaps the biggest drawback of Warhammer: Chaosbane, and almost any other ARPG inspired by Diablo that is too conservative is precisely that there is Diablo III. But the game of Eko Software and Bigben Interactive is by its own merits a fun title in essence, with characters different enough to want to try all, a cooperative -local and online- that always multiplies the fun and a more interesting world than average.

It simply does not become an essential of the role of action and there are better alternatives such as Path of Exile or Torchlight, but it is another option rather than in the future it could become a much more rounded saga with ambition and budget.
