Space Hulk: Deathwing is a first person action game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, being developed by Streum On Studio (E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy) and co-produced by Cyanide Studio (responsible for the titles of Game of Thrones). The script is in charge of Gav Thorpe, well-known novelist of Games Workshop. We will play alone or cooperatively as a Librarian and his squad of Terminators, who must eliminate the hosts of Genestealers and creatures that will house the huge colonial ships seized from the Emperor. The game emphasizes tactical action, labyrinthine scenarios and formations, an essential part of its mechanics.

Space Hulk: Deathwing uses the powerful Unreal Engine 4 graphics engine and the visual result is very good. It is true that we always find ourselves in narrow and dark areas, but the video game recreates the entire Warhammer 40k universe with great beauty and there will be no missing details perfectly recreated for the enjoyment of the fans. In addition, the title makes a great use of the lighting engine and offers dark locations perfectly set. Obviously, due to the low polygon load offered by its level design, very detailed modeling, high definition textures and a large number of enemies can be allowed on screen, which becomes one of the strengths of the title. However, despite all these benefits, the video game has been poorly optimized.

It is clear that Space Hulk: Deathwing is a video game aimed at fans of the Warhammer 40k franchise or anyone looking for a first-person space shooter to enjoy with four online players. Undoubtedly, these two types of players will know how to forgive the multiple and serious flaws to enter a fun, well-decorated title with a narrative aimed at fans of the franchise. However, the rest of users will not be so permissive and will find a title too linear in which our only objective will be to cross endless and labyrinthine corridors always killing the same enemies. In addition, I find game mechanics quite confusing, a gameplay that stops constantly and an excessively complex story for all those who do not know the universe of the franchise, which inevitably causes us to be facing a minor title for only a few players.
