[Game Reviews] Alto's Adventure: Cool Endless Running Game
Alto's Adventure is an endless run game in the snowboarding version. This game gets a lot of praise, especially for the look and feel of artistic. Alto's Adventure was first released for iOS in February 2015, for Android and Kindle Fire in February 2016, and for Windows 10 PCs in July 2016.
Gameplay Alto's Adventure
Although Alto's Adventure is an endless running game (in the form of snowboarding), this game moves sideways (horizontally) on the screen or the term side-scrolling. Alto, the character we play, moves automatically to the ground.
Our task is to collect the llama (which is loose from the enclosure), collect coins, complete tasks (quest - determine levels), and glide as far as possible. The obstacles include rocks and ravines. During play, we can do salto tricks or glide on ropes and roofs of buildings.
Alto's Adventure control is simple. Press once to jump, and long press while Alto hovers for salto.
In addition, there is also a game called Zen Mode. Here, you can play endlessly, despite falling back and forth. When playing Zen Mode, we are recommended to use headphones. I am grateful to follow the suggestion, because the music is really cool and gives a dramatic feel of its own.
Views Alto's Adventure is worthy of praise
Arto's Adventure's visual artistic side will easily remind us of Monument Valley games. Fair enough, because this view was inspired by Monument Valley and Journey.
In addition to good graphics, the nuances that presented this game is stunning. Alto's adventure goes against a changing background. Good time and weather. From morning to night, from sunny to rainy.
The detail shown is also quite amazing. For example the flying birds, the flags on the rope that fall out when passed, as well as the image that zoomed out when Alto jumped high from the top of the hill.
Alto's Adventure Play Experience
Some reviews mention that Alto's Adventure gameplay is not original. Well, to be honest, there are very few - and very few - original endless games or platformers (obstacles) that are original. So in my opinion, there are other factors worth considering to rate games like this.
The main factor is clear whether the game is fun or not. This factor also depends on many things. Good display, non-boring repetition, or surprising details.
I am not a fan of endless running games. Usually because quickly get tired of meeting the barriers that-that's all. But I admit, Alto's Adventure gives the impression of its own. I think this is because of the look and feel (including music) that this game has. This game developer seems to understand how to give a dramatic effect visually, thus giving the wow effect on the player.
Oya, I think it's worth mentioning that I play Alto's Adventure game quite often and long enough to use Android Moto E3 Power phone. I noticed, the game is not too draining the battery and runs smoothly without any hassles.
As already mentioned above, Alto's Adventure is available for various platforms. Mmm, almost all. For iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, and Windows 10 PCs, but not yet available for Windows 10 Mobile.
Interestingly, Alto's Adventure in iOS priced at Rp15.000, while in Android and Windows 10 can be obtained for free.
Although this game is not a new game, if you like endless running games, Alto's Adventure is highly recommended.
