Monster Hunter: World PC release date announced
Capcom has announced a release date for Monster Hunter: World for PC today. The long-awaited PC version will be available for purchase on 9th August through Steam. The news comes via an official post on the Monster Hunter forums. It is available for pre-order today, here, and includes the pre-order exclusive Origin Armor Set and Fair Wind Charm. Fans can also purchase the Deluxe Kit DLC, which includes the Samurai Armor Set, three Gestures, two Sticker Sets, the Wyvern Face Paint and the Top Knot Hairstyle.
Not only is Monster Hunter: World critically acclaimed, with a score of 90 on metacritic.com, but it is also wildly popular. As a commercial success, Monster Hunter: World's release earlier this year led to a record breaking financial year for Capcom. Having sold three million copies in its first three days on Xbox One and PS4 and more than seven million in total, Monster Hunter: World is Capcom's best selling game. Capcom have also released a steady amount of post-launch content, such as new monsters and crossover DLC, like the Devil May Cry costume and weapon pack.
Players can expect the PC release to have all the current and future DLC. From the screenshots Capcom has released, the improved capabilities of the PC also looks to enabled a graphical and performance boost. Here is a full list of the minimum and recommended system requirements.
