Destiny 2 continues to deploy a slower amount of content as its release is now about three months old. However, with the live updates being given, they continue to put forward stories and content to engage players to continue to submerge themselves in this collection type game. One of the final storylines that the Festival of the Lost did for the game was release a new quest line that studied the death of one of the Cryptarchs from the Reef, Master Ives.

The original quest was provided at the end of the Festival of the Lost event and was lead by the NPC, Amanda Holliday. The quest was also time gated which many players in the community did not like very much as some of the steps were not as fulfilling as those you would typically see in quest lines for weapons. Most of the elements of the quests related around visiting and completing Lost Sectors on Earth. Every week for three weeks, Amanda would provide an update for the quest which ultimately required the player to return to the Cosmodrome!

This was the first place our Destiny journeys started when Destiny 1 was first release. While the story mission that takes us back to our history was not very challenging it provided us with the prospect of what was possible for Destiny in the future. Destiny 1 had a decent amount of content within its geographic space across the multiple years of released content. If done correctly, this could lead to deploying engaging content as players go back to complete missions in these spaces.

Once the mission was completed, you would return to the Tower and have two more interactions for which you were then rewarded the Thunderlord exotic machine gun which is also a Destiny 1 weapon. The weapon was reworked for Destiny 2 and is quite powerful for many of the activities in both the PvP and PvE side. One of the new features which both works and looks great is that the bullets also provide elemental damage as if lightning was also hitting the enemies. This has led for this weapon to be a top tier one in the game currently. I think Bungie did a great job with this new weapon although the content behind it was somewhat uneventful. I hope they can continue to work on these thoughts to deploy more content.

Thanks!
