A New Pokemon Discovered?!: The Mythical Pokemon Meltan?

The mystery around the new and never before seen Pokemon seen after Community Day has a new clue! The Pokemon company released a video that showed Professor Willow and Professor Oak discussing what Pokemon this could be. As thought, it is a totally new Pokemon deemed ancient and Mythical, called Meltan. After its first appearance after Community Day, they have continued to spawn in the wild although still rare. I have only seen two, and one ran away from me! The interesting thing is that they continue to transform into Ditto after being caught.

So the mystery continues as we should expect some more information as the video seems to have more information to follow. It also turned out to be a type of commercial advertising the upcoming Nintendo Switch game, Pokemon Let’s Go! So we should expect more information leading up to the game’s release in November. I believe it is the first time that an all new Pokemon is release before a new generation is released so we can expect almost anything coming from the Pokemon universe from now on. It is exciting how they are trying to integrate this content moving forward; I know I am engaged despite some of the fatigue after a busy summer and many other games out there right now.

The Companies behind Pokemon continue to leverage the success of the franchise and gaming fans of it are pretty excited as this has truly been a great social experience. It is amazing how many people still play and come out for these new and engaging events. It will be interesting to see where this latest mystery leads us as Pokemon games continue to be develop and evolve.
