FORTNITE

in #gaming6 years ago

Epic has started developing the Fortnite title a few years ago, originally planned as a cooperative zombie defense game. He kept his issue constantly and was seen not knowing what to do with it. It turned out even after the release, when the game was dull and it did not seem like something. But Epic was lucky, he saw the success of PUBG and decided to copy and style this style into his game.

He put on a free version of the Battle Royale style and fun for the occasional audience, and it quickly releases it to other platforms, and the PC has just added Xbox One and PS4, added the Switch. This has recently been added to iOS, and now comes with Android in the beta test, which is a complete offer of platforms, all of which can now be played crossplatformally, you can play on any of your platforms and keep all stuff and purchased accessories, it's a big breakthrough in the game, and even if Battle Royale does not play anymore, Fortinet will be the first to receive full cross-platform support.

While the new Battle Royale version of the game is rapidly developing, it has also slowly forgotten the original cooperative part of the game. It is still paid on PC and should be released from Early Access this summer. Priorities are different and we see it as well. On the other hand, the cooperative part served very well. Thanks to its years of development, Epic has earned a good foundation for Battle Royale, has upgraded gaming and technical features, making the right use of it. Various other Battle Royale games have been struggling for years.

What does the Battle Royale part of Fortnite offer? If you did not play PUBG or H1Z1 or other Fortnite predecessors, it's about 100 players to jump from an aircraft, a helicopter, or from a flying bus to an island on which the fight begins to last. Since you have no weapons from the beginning, you must find and arm yourself. In the end, you are running away from the ever-shrinking circle behind which Fortnite is ruled by a zombie storm. As a result, players are killing each other until only a few remain in the final circle.

Here, Fortnite does not break out of style and does not want to. The difference is material collection and construction. The original Fortnite concept was in the form of a defense cooperative game with a fortification building, and it was transferred here as well. You can collect wood, metal and stone and then build platforms, walls, stairs, or roofs to create your defensive fortress right in the game. Of course, enemies are able to shatter individual parts. Perhaps it is a pity that advanced physics is not applied to buildings, there is only a simple control over whether or not the thing is to be placed on, so a large building can also stand on one thin wall. Still, it really revives the game and makes it interesting for players whose standard battle royale games are bored.

But even more gameplay animates different weapons, rockets, jetpacks or fun suits. That's exactly the game built. It is primarily intended for younger audiences who like dressing for rabbits or simply dress up for anything untraditional.

But what Epic does really well is a gradual change of game. Unlike other games, however, the authors have decided only for one relatively small map, but revive it by gradually changing. The more accurate game is divided into seasons and each season changes something in the environment and in the style of combat. Plus gradual small changes are coming through the season. There is still something going on and the players are motivated to follow developments. For example, an asteroid has recently been dropped on the asteroid map, after which a special cube was moved on the map, which made a trampoline from the lake to later pull the whole island out of the lake and float above the environment. All this was the past, and now, in winter, the glacier, which has frozen part of the island, was approaching the island.

Of course, there are various weapons, which are standard submachine guns, shotguns, rifles, pistols, sniper rifles, or grenade launchers, rocket launchers, or even a sniper rifle. From the vehicles, the authors only recently added small cars, started shopping carts, crossed the golf vehicle, but they got four quads and recently joined armed aircraft, which are a nice complement to the gameplay while offering a quick map transition.

Perhaps it is a pity that the whole update of the map does not have a basic story, and the authors more or less regulate how they think and how they fit at the current time of the year. For example, the current winter came to Christmas and, of course, also brought Christmas suits, skins and emotes of dancing. Skins and dances are also the only paid part of the game, so if they want to get them, they have to buy them for game money. They are in the game called V-Bucks and are primarily acquired by buying them for real money or by buying a Battle Pass. However, the V-Bucks are expensive and 1000 costs 10 euros, which you can spend on one suit. That's why the best compromise is to buy the Battle Pass, which will make it available for 10 euros each season. You can then unlock by playing and advancing in degrees. You know how to get V-Bucks, which makes it possible to earn extra Battle Pass and more. Epic has gotten it here to keep players up and running.

But Epic also thought of players who do not want to pay, though slowly, but they can still make money. However, you earn only a maximum of 200 V-Bucks per season, so after two or three seasons you know something interesting to buy. After five, you earn the Season pass and then you can earn money as paying players. Of course, everything only if your skins are troublesome. If you hunt for fun and do not crack it, you do not have to worry about the levels and just enjoy the game.

Standard Battle Royale will make you play against yourself or against duo or squad. Gradually, however, Epic expands and offers special challenges such as 50 vs 50, 30 vs 30 vs 30 and similar specialties. Some are limited in time, others come in for longer. Recently, for example, he has offered a Food Fight fight for food, or now a hardcore mode without maps and indicators. You have to find out where the zone is and where you have to go. There is a great offer and especially varied, so the players are not bored and do not fall into the stereotype.

Originally the main part of the game - the Save the World campaign, is designed for 4 players who build strongholds and forts against incoming waves of zombies, go through missions, improve their abilities, unlock new opportunities, and fight with bosses. Unlike Battle Royale, this is complete with the story of the world, which is interesting to see in order to see where you are. The campaign is still under development and you have to pay for it, but the authors want to offer it for free after completion. So far, you can buy it with packages at different prices. The minimum price is probably 20 euros. We will look closer to her after finishing.

More exciting than a campaign is the new game option - Creative mode. This is another separate part of the game and brings into play the ability to create your own maps and environment, as well as a competitive multiplayer. In this way, players can create their own creations, buildings, mazes on the smaller isolated islands. Virtually what they want. Everyone has four green islands green and four snowy, The Block 1 and 2 for smaller areas on which to build their creative things. If they're interesting, they'll get to Battle Royale for a while too.

On their own created islands, players can then play modes like free for all, team deathmatch, dominance, king of the hill. There they go against each other on a smaller map in rapid combat with set parameters. They can try something more dynamic than the slow Battle Royale. At the same time, its own creative creations will make it all a living.

Graphically, Fortnite is pretty and tedious. This is not the most comprehensive game in the world, but it offers simple and very enjoyable, fun graphics. It's another thing that Epic did well and did not know how. It offers a low-profile visual performance, and it can run on mobile phones in very similar settings to consoles or PCs and can look good on faster platforms. Finally, it runs on their Unreal engine, so they can fine-tune it. What the creators have also shown.

At the same time, it's interesting to connect touch-screen, gamepad and keyboard and mouse controls in one game. While it's still the same game with added cross-platform gaming on all platforms. It's something that no one has ever done. Minecraft was close to it, but it was not up to him to push the crossplatform from Sony to the PS4 platform. Under pressure, Fortnite and Sony did not survive. This allows players to play against each other, and they also have the opportunity to freely move between platforms and play on their account with their purchased or acquired items.

Epic eventually added interest in playing consoles and keyboards and mice, both on the PS4 and the Xbox One, where support came recently. You can play virtually on PC, even with PC gamers, as the game primarily creates matchmaking between players with the same controls. Thus, players with a mouse play against each other to make games more balanced.
