Alien vs. Predator - Arcade Zone #17 - Retro Review
"In Steemit a malignant whale has arrived, sowing fish that devoured accounts, post they found receiving millions of flags, the community each day that passed was destroyed leaving few survivors, only two fish were against this great force but in case they could not do nothing, everything seemed lost, until two whales came from an unknown world, fighting together with the two fish against everything that has damaged the platform, this way you formed two sides that were called Aliens and the opponents as Predators doing that this epic battle will remain with the name of Alien vs. Predator"
Again we are in the great Arcade zone, where there are games that we can never compare with the world of consoles, graphics, sound and difficulty reigned at every corner, in this case we go with our beloved DeLorean to the year 1994 where the Beat 'em up of the great CAPCOM shone in the big halls, you had a great variety of games to choose from that sometimes you just did not know what to play, but in that year an Arcade machine came out that surprised many by giving a spectacular gameplay, sound and graphics amazing the great "Alien vs. Predator".
At the time it was a game that broke expectations, it was impossible to play this Arcade because there were too many people making lines to have fun, the only way to find it empty was arriving in the early hours where the rooms looked like a desert, I consider it one of the Beat 'em up better designed offering us a great variety of movements and characters that simply can not go unnoticed.
One of the most amazing things about Alien vs. Predator is its graphic design in all senses, in case CAPCOM surprised us with the great Final Fight, this would be the graphical evolution of it, the sprites, animations, movements are a total exquisiteness to be able to see them on screen, especially the "Predators" "They were my favorites, their presence in the Arcade was simply overwhelming, to always remember their original film with the great Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Being Beat 'em up their levels are completely linear, but this is the least important in this case, in this Arcade we will find a lot of enemies in them, it was really impressive to see so many Aliens making attacks at the same time and that the game was kept fluid, that's where the power of the CPS-2 board stood out, an excellent work by CAPCOM, the design of its worlds are very good, it makes you see at all times that it is an Alien invasion on planet Earth In addition, they are shaped according to what is happening in the story in a perfect way.
Its gameplay is impressive, considering that we have three buttons plus the movement stick, the combinations we can make between them are fantastic, there was a special attack button, another for hits and finally a jump, just to mention as an example, if we press the jump button with the special attack button we can execute a very strong attack from the air (Predator), or also combine the jump button with the one of blows executing the typical attack to remove several enemies from above.
But the gameplay will also depend on the character we choose, we have the availability of 4 personnel, each one has different speed, power and ability, they are two survivors of the Alien invasion, Major D. Schaefer (the slowest and heaviest of all but its power is very high), Lieutenant Linn Kurosawa (one of my favorites, despite having little power its blast of blows and speed make it perfect) and the two Predator, Warrior and Hunter (their skills are similar, have the balance perfect and they were one of the most chosen because of their special powers), the four formed the great team that would save the earth from an assured human extinction.
The difficulty of the game was quite moderate, if we knew how to perfectly control our character we could spend a lot of time with a single chip, sometimes many enemies will appear, but the game offers us very good tools which are different weapons that can be found in boxes or that loose some enemies, here goes from knives, grenades, launches flames among many more, this was one of the most played machines, its cost-time was really good, consuming few coins to see its grand finale.
The music contained in this game is very difficult for us to stay in the mind, not because it is bad, on the contrary, its Soundtrack is very good but they oriented more their musical sections that reflect a great invasion of another world, making us sometimes keep active in full play, however sometimes it is completely opaque with its excellent sounds, blows, explosions, submachine guns and many more things will reign the scenarios, they are very well elaborated, this does not get tired of listening to all your enemies dying for your deadly attacks.
Alien vs. Predator Arcade is one of those games that has been left in oblivion with the passing of the years, but there are still people (like this humble server) who will always remember excellent video games so that they are always in the present, it is a great game that despite of all these years I continue to recommend it with closed eyes, its excellent graphics and playability make it a game of 10, from time to time I play with friends this title, since it has the possibility of passing it in a cooperative way, this is one of the titles that I would like to see completely remastered, but it is something that I see almost impossible, however the emulators will remain to remember the best moments of the 90s.

From what I heard, this was based off an early draft of an Alien vs. Predator movie and this would be a tie-in. It was unfortunately cancelled but the development of this game continued on. It was also going to be ported to the Sega 32X...yeah that didn't happen.
Sorry for the trivia, but great review nonetheless.
