This series of irreverent drawings in which fantasy is mixed with humor and that pulls the appearance of a series of classic cartoons. Well, inspired by it to a large extent, comes to us “The Adventure Pals” , a commitment to humor, classic platforms and with some modern touches that will delight those who come to this indie title, a completely memorable game for everything He who considers himself a fan of a kid who rides a giraffe.
And we are equally faced with a game of lateral scroll adventures and a direct bet by the direct cooperative mode, something that gives the game an important freshness. In addition, he does it without fussing and without losing a bit of speed, even when we have to improve our character. But no, do not think about the classic "rolero" mix. The Adventure Pals is sugarcane, fun , and above all it is full of situations that we will remember powerfully every time we look back. Although, for every occasion in which we see our giraffe overfly the environment using its helicopter .

Plot
But first let's talk about the plot section, which surprisingly, does have something similar (although we see it as a mere excuse). It's our birthday, something that should be cause for celebration ... but quickly becomes a tragedy: our father is kidnapped by a pirado with bad intentions, so we go after him. But that guy does not know what he's gotten himself into, and accompanied by our faithful giraffe Sparkles (absolutely adorable) and of course, our pet-stone (you've read correctly) we're going to search for our father through more than 100 levels in which we will face platforms, dangerous enemies and of course, great final bosses .
Gameplay
The gameplay of the title is very simple since its inception. Basically, classic platforms in which we will control the character either alone or riding on the back of the giraffe . Little by little, our movement and combat system will expand, offering us a more advanced experience, but one that evolves in such a progressive way that we will not really feel that the curve of difficulty is going up (and a lot), but simply that , we have new challenges. And it is that they are five worlds with 105 levels. This, in itself, guarantees that we will use about 6 hours, but of course, everything depends on the level of interest and involvement. We refer to there are many missions and of course there are also secrets, like a series of cupcakes that, if we get them, unlock new outfits. But none of this is mandatory to overcome the adventure.
The characters are absolutely tricky, and as we advance and improve (see getting skills such as throwing bombs or our sword is more destructive), we will discover a world that looks like it was made with drawings entirely by hand. But there are also areas that bring us, in a way, memories of that Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, and that is to the surprise of the undersigned, there are times when we enter authentic populations in which we are provided with missions . That is when we are aware of the importance of exploration.
The Adventure Pals is a game that we can enjoy as old as we are, because its colorful appearance should not confuse us: here there is a lot of adult element, which in fact will feel like a fish in the water. In addition, and as an interesting climax to its 105 levels, we will witness conversations and scenes between the various phases that will get us more than a smile.
We must also be honest in one aspect: despite the additions that are the improvement of skills or the addition of some new, the gameplay ends up being strangely flat at times, not being able to prevent that although we receive a mission, we feel that we repeat the same and again. Probably this feeling of "loop" is not something that will take away the sleep, but it does a disservice to any attempt to re-gameplay, unless we do this thinking of repeating experience with a colleague in cooperative mode.

Technical Section
Now let's talk about the technical section: we are dealing with a 2D game, which is colorful and simple, but with colorful, comic and colorful scenes that attract attention. Designs for the memory, with zombie pirate cats, post-apocalyptic dinosaurs and hot dogs as dangerous for our stomach as for our adventure (they launch mines and it is difficult to forget the scene). There are enemies like dinosaurs, or even toasts. It's like having a nightmare when we go to bed a few minutes after breakfast: everything goes wild. Of course, absolutely everything is in English . It does not matter too much, but there are certain comments that we would like to have read in our language, because of its comic content. But without a doubt, the audio also accompanies, with classic sounds and melodies that make this one of the most enjoyable games of the season.

Conclusion
The Adventure Pals works very well. It is a perfect title in which the controls respond, the theme manages to enchant us and we get to get some smile thanks to its approach and designs. Quite long, we should only be interested if we really enjoy the genre, because despite the evolution of some skills, in general we will feel that we repeat mechanical without stopping. That said, a delight in many aspects, including the playables.
