The developers of Spintires: MudRunner have done a great job with the feeling of weight with these vehicles, the distortion of the terrain or the fluids , not only in the graphics, but also in the gameplay. Climb a small ramp that will destabilize the cabin and you will feel the fear of capsizing dragged by the weight of your load. We have to admit our inexperience driving trucks, but the impression of MudRunner has seemed very convincing. And if you really want authentic driving, there is a simulation mode that is even more complicated and with more variables to consider, such as a higher consumption of gasoline.

The game offers six different maps - and other small ones for the challenges -, all of them badly paved, and a cycle that changes the lighting as the hours pass. The missions of the main mode are not very varied, since they are almost always the same, but the choice of the road - to explore first, for example, with a manageable vehicle before with the larger cargo trucks - is what gives a little of freedom to each game. Sometimes a small detour is preferable and climb a mound to fall into a pond. The challenge mode precisely serves as an extended tutorial, because they are more direct and affordable tasks that teach us the best strategies to avoid dangers.

Perhaps a more superior view would facilitate the handling, although we understand that it would be very advantageous.

As i said at the beginning, it will be essential to do the tutorial to get control of the vehicles, a quick and simple tutorial. For its part, after the tutorial we find several challenges, nine in total, as mini tutorials, where we will learn to develop in almost all the situations that the game presents us.
