Yeah, it's definitely closer to Castlevania 3 than Symphony of the Night. Though, from what I'm hearing, Ritual of the Night will be closer to Aria of Sorrow or Dawn of Sorrow. Where you'll collect the souls of the monsters and use them to unlock various abilities.
