Chrono Trigger: Building Bridges and Climbing Stairs

The combination of a nasty cold and lack of time prevented me from doing a Chrono Trigger episode sooner. With my voice returning to normal and two consecutive days off I was able to get back to the adventure. Last time the team led a preemptive strike against the monsters ready to attack our Reptite friends. Now it was time to check on the Nu and the Reptite bridge builder. Went through the whole process of climbing all the ladders again and see that the bridge is finally complete. We group with the Reptite return to the village the Nu follows and is welcomed as a new member of the tribe.

Another Reptite comes back to the village after exploring the other side of the bridge. He explains that he found a tower that has an eerie presence. The village elder explains that the tower is good but it was best for the heroes to check it out. If there is one thing about towers is that there are loads of stairs. I can’t remember how many floors I climbed but it was quite a bit. A ghostly knight similar to Cyrus was haunting the place and was dealt with and we got to see that the idols of the place were statues of my current lineup. I liked how dismissive Magus was of the whole thing but once he made it back to the village he did praise the work. While in the tower I found the rusted blade one Reptite was inquiring about so I can’t wait to see what it will turn into.
