Is Cloud9 finally winning a major or will the third Major final for GuardiaN get FaZe that prestigious title?

Our two grand finalists of ELEAGUE Boston 2018 Major are the American side Cloud9 and facing them is the International powerhouse known as FaZe Clan.

Cloud9

A team consisting of 5 American players has never managed to bring a VALVE Major trophy to the home soil. Now Cloud9 has finally the chance to change that. With a current line-up of:

Skadoodle
tarik
autimatic and,
RUSH

they sure hope to get their hands on that trophy with an addition of 500 000$ prize money. If there is a time in 2018 to win something this is it.

Reaching this stage took a lot of effort from Cloud9 players. Starting their run in the tournament with a 0-2 record it looked rather shaky. Questions were raised if they would even make it out of the group. But one team member Will "RUSH" Wierzba who has actually won a major befor with OpTic Gaming was still feeling confident. This is what he had to say after they won their next 3 games to advance from the group: "From then on, we knew that we were still at our peak individually, so we just played our own game from then on, versus VP, Astralis, and Vega Squadron."

Cloud9 then started their play-off games with a confident 2-0 win over the favored french side G2. The french organisation is still struggling in majors despite changing their roster. Following this win we saw a true game of brilliance by the Americans, taking out SK Gaming featuring the best player of 2017 ´coldzera´ in a convincing fashion. The maps which the boys in blue won were convincing resulting them a 2-1 win.

The question remains, do we see Cloud9 at their peak tonight or will they be the second best team in the most prestigious event of the year.

FaZe

Opposed to Cloud9, Faze came to the tournament as a favorite. Purchasing Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács, Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer and Nikola "NiKo" Kovač in 2017 and with the addition of one of the best in-game leaders Finn "karrigan" Andersen and Håvard "rain" Nygaard, Faze was set to be the most dominating side of 2018. The International side surely came to the tournament all guns blazing and has not lost a single map yet! So far it has proven to be a perfect combination of players with Faze team holding the number one spot in team rankings. The place to show if theyre worthy of that spot is here and now.

Winning the tournament would mean the first major title for GuardiaN (who has been in two major finals before but lost on both occasions), NiKo, rain and karrigan. Olofmeister has held the trophy before with fnatic back in days.
