Gaming Culture: Can You Trust the Developer?
Can you trust a game to not waste your time? Can you trust that the game mechanics really are what they claim to be, and not a total lie? Should you? Does it even matter? If you’ve never thought about these questions, or if they’ve been on your mind for some time, stick around. It’s an issue that really needs to be addressed.

I really miss video game rentals for that reason. Then playstation came out with disks that load and scratch, and Xbox games had to be purchased online, and Valve had to be installed on a PC. The golden days of Nintendo and Sega are over. With cartridge games maybe rentals will become a possibility again.
Thanks for your opinion :)
No you can't.

Well, from my point of view, yes, I was there and I promised myself that I would never play that particular game ever again and what happened after some time? Well, I was there again, playing the same game.
To the point: Players tend to dislike everything they think that might ruin the game they are currently playing so we are on the point here but there are some game developers they do and change in-game mechanics in order to make the game "feel better or smoother". Basically they change the wrong stuff and the result is often fatal. (Prime example is League of Legends)

I think it's merely a matter of taste . You don't expect a developer, company or whoever to make you waste your time. Some people think that playing X game its a waste of time, others think that for game Y, but the fact it's that if you don't like it, just leave it. Game industry, as many others works like that. For tastes colors were made.

Sometimes, the developers ... maybe. Publishers though? NEVER!
I have some posts bashing Activision and EA that I wrote recently, if you're interested.
