My impressions about: Devil May Cry 4

Like many people my first encounter with the saga Devil May Cry was with its third installment and if I remember correctly, Devil May Cry 3 would be the first game of the genre Hack and Slash that I had played, and therefore it was a game that I liked a lot. I previously did the reviews of the first and second game of the saga, and obviously the third, but I was missing the 4th game of the saga of demons, so a few days ago I finished playing it and I really liked it a lot.

Unlike the previous games, in Devil May Cry 4 we do not control in the beginning the classic Dante, protagonist of the previous deliveries, since this time we have the control of Nero, a new protagonist, that like Dante and his Brother Vergil, has white hair and his powers are related in the same way with demons, especially with Vergil. It is known that this new protagonist many fans did not like, since the 4th game of the Devil May saga was highly anticipated and, that you can not play at first with Dante was something that disappointed a bit the fans of this saga , however, in parts of the game if we can have control of our old protagonist, but we will have to go through the same scenarios that we previously went through with Nero, although this was an aspect that I do not dislike, nor the fact that part of the history of this new title will not focus on Dante, because our red demon opts for a supporting role in the entire history of this 4th game. Nero is a good character and is totally different in terms of personality to the demon brothers (Dante and Vergil), although it resembles Dante in terms of rebelliousness.

The Devil May Cry saga is characterized by many aspects, one of them is its music, which in all games are excellent, even the reboot (DMC) that despite being a totally different game and that is not included in the main story of the saga, since the facts of this game occur in an alternate reality, even this game has good music, although it is not the Gothic music characteristic of the saga, but it does have music that accompanies the great moments of action. Devil May Cry 4 again highlights in the section of sound, a game with an excellent musical list that fit in perfection in all the fights that we will have throughout the game, music that accompany all those moments of frenetic action and even the effects of sound stand out a lot, the sound of the clash of swords and shots in the same way, help a greater immersion in terms of playability is concerned.

Graphically is the best of the main saga, because it is the last one that had gone on the market (not including DMC and the next Devil May Cry 5), in this 4th game improved the graphic quality, the characters have better features Facials and movements, as well as modeling with better details and colors, in turn the new scenarios also look very good, with good details in each of the stages and with the right lighting. An important point in this type of games is the fluidity, because this type of games the speed of attack and reaction is the most important, having a rate of fps is important for better gameplay, in Devil May Cry 4 we can find rates of fps suitable for an optimal gaming experience to be able to eliminate all hordes of enemies that we have in front.

And if we talk about gameplay, I can not say anything other than that already mentioned when I did the review of the other games in the series, since in this 4th game it still maintains the excellent gameplay that was perfected in the 3rd game of the series, an addictive gameplay that urges the player for the largest number of combos that he performs. With Nero we have new abilities to use, this new protagonist has a demonic arm that makes him be (like Dante) partly demon, so his powers are referred to that kind of abilities, however, despite the fact that Nero does not is a bad protagonist I prefer to play with the classic Dante and the moments where I could finally have control of the classic protagonist were, for me, the best in the game, this time Dante has new weapons, but not as many as in previous games, and As far as gameplay is concerned, it feels more comfortable to play with Dante than Nero, although it is a mere option.

Devil May Cry is a saga beloved by fans, so when a 5th game of this saga was presented, I was very excited (although I may not be able to play it for many years) since this is really a game that I like quite, however in the trailer shown is that, like the 4th game of the saga, we will have control of Nero or at least much of the history of this new game will focus on him and not on Dante, that seen also what the trailer shows, will again play a secondary role in this new release, although we will also have a new playable character. In short, we will have to wait for the new game to come out to see what surprise it brings, although for now the chronological order of the history of the Devil May Cry saga has been revealed and it would be like this: Devil May Cry 3 - Devil May Cry 1 - Devil May Cry 4 - Devil May Cry 2 - Devil May Cry 5, therefore what I had said in my previous review of this saga was true and the 5th game corresponds to the last one in chronological order, however due to this order there is many inconsistencies with respect to the personalities of Dante, since the Dante shown in Devil May Cry 2 is very serious and almost does not speak, compared to the Dante shown in the trailer of the 5th, which resembles more than we saw in the 3rd game, Although the answer to this could be that each game was directed by different people, therefore each one had a different vision to what this character represents. But well, already with this I complete the main saga of Devil May Cry and I would only miss the next game, but that will be in several years.
