Blockchain will greatly influence the gaming industry as it one of the main-stream early adopters of technologies.
The main areas which will help solve many problems are:

There are many positive initiatives like Unikrn which is a e-sports betting platform introducing it's own token called Unikoin. Gameflip which is a market place for digital goods have started accepting bitcoins.
