The story begins, when a war veteran named Alex Shepard who wakes up in a hospital, gets a hunch if his sister Joshua has disappeared. For that, Alex felt the need to return to his hometown, in search of his lost brother. However, upon arriving at Alex's hometown of Shepard's Glen, he feels there are different things in his hometown. Like the thick fog that has enveloped the entire city, strange creatures roam the streets, the houses look cold, old and unlike the last time Alex left his hometown. Upon Alex at home, she noticed if her mother's condition was already under stress and depression. While his father and his sister also went missing somewhere. Alex then began searching through Shepard's Glen town, fighting against the strange creatures that were blocking his path. The story does not stop in the town of Shepard's Glen alone, Alex's search makes him have to go to the town of Silent Hill. Arriving there, Travis Grady who was the main character in the previous series, tried to help deliver Alex around the city to find his sister. There, she also meets her old schoolmate Elle and asks about her sister's whereabouts, but Elle does not know where Joshua is.
Well... Silent Hill Homecoming, using a dialog tree system which means Alex will be confronted with several options dialog. And the dialogue choices will affect the storyline in this game, which will have several different endings and will certainly add value to the game's replayability. The selected dialogue may include questions about a character's information, information about the gaming environment as well as information for solving a puzzle.
