From Groza to M16A4: All PUBG Assault Rifles ranked +++

in #gaming5 years ago

PUBG or PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has become a phenomenon, and people all over are getting into it. Even though the PC version of the game came first, the Xbox and the mobile versions that followed have managed to become even bigger success. PUBG is all about the guns and using them properly.

And since knowing the game goes a long way in winning it, players can always get better results when they know which guns to use and which best suits their style of play. PUBG as a game has Pistols, Shotguns, Sub-Machine Guns, Assault Rifles, Designated Marksmen Rifles, and bolt action Sniper Rifles classified into different classes. And today we will be talking about the different Assault Rifles in the game, and the specialties of each of these.

We will be ranking the Assault rifles based on three variables, which are damage, rate of fire, and recoil in the ascending order.

8 – M16A4:

This can be called the most common Assault Rifle or AR in PUBG, and can be found in most places. This is only a single shot and burst fire mode gun that does not have a auto mode. This makes the gun very effective in long ranges, and less effective in close quarters combat. It has a quick reload animation, and can hold up to 30 bullets normally, and 40 bullets with the extended mag. It has a damage of 43, which is the same as the other guns that use 5.56mm ammo.

7 – SCAR-L and QBZ95:

SCAR-L is one of the other basic ARs found in PUBG on the Erangel and Miramar maps – substituted by QBZ95 on Sanhok. Both the guns are identical when it comes to stats, and it’s only the look that differs. The QBZ95 is available on Sanhok because it is a Chinese gun, and PUBG wanted to match the theme of Sanhok.

Both have the same damage as the other 5.56mm ammo ARs. The rate of fire is higher than most submachine guns and without the muzzle and grip the recoil is not as much as the other ARs. But with the muzzle and grip, they are pretty stable. It holds a normal magazine of 30 bullets, which can be extended to 40.

6 – Mk47 Mutant:

Mk47 Mutant is a hybrid gun like the M16A4, and it is solely classified as an AR because it comes with a burst fire mode. This gun can use a muzzle and grip, which makes it pretty stable over long distances. It is essentially used as a DMR, and has pretty high damage of 49 that is at par with other 7.62mm ammo AR rifles. It has a pretty high recoil, which makes it difficult to use without attachments. It holds a normal magazine of 20 bullets that can be extended to 30.

5 – AKM:

The AKM, a variant of the popular AK-47 rifle in the game, is one of the most commonly found guns. People wielding this gun can make for some scary enemies because there is only one other fully auto AR that can match the damage (49) this gun can dish out. But with the high damage also comes the problem of high recoil, and there is only a muzzle slot available to control that. Those who use a compensator on it to control the recoil, will be able to take down enemies wearing level 3 armor with five shots, and level 3 helmets with two shots. It holds a normal magazine of 30 7.62mm bullets, which can be extended to 40.

4 – Beryl M762:

This is one of the other AR that uses 7.62mm ammo with an auto mode that is freely available on the maps. Beryl M726 is a high attachment gun like the SCAR-L and can use a scope, muzzle, grip, and magazine for modification. In its stock format, it has higher recoil than the AKM, and less damage as well at 47 per bullet. But the stability of the gun is much better than an AKM with all the proper modifications, and it even has a higher fire rate. It holds a normal magazine of 30 7.62mm bullets, which can be extended to 40.

3 – M416:

The M416 is definitely the best AR that is freely available in the maps of PUBG. It uses a host of modifications, including scope, muzzle, grip, magazine, and stock. This gun has the highest fire rate among all the ARs in the game yet. Needless to say this is a favorite among all the players in the game. Without the attachments, it has slightly more recoil than the SCAR-L, but with all the attachments it is one of the most stable ARs in the game. It has a damage of 43, which is the same as the other 5.56mm ammo ARs. It holds a normal magazine of 30 7.62mm bullets that can be extended to 40.

2 – AUG A3:

The runner up on our list is the AUG A3, which is only available in PUBG from the loot crates. This gun is the most stable AR with a muzzle, and stock slots beside the scope and magazine slots. It has a damage of 43 that is the same as all the 5.56mm ammo ARs. But it has the highest muzzle speed, which means that its bullets reach the farthest among ARs. It has a standard rate of fire which is similar to the SCAR-L, and it holds a normal magazine of 30 5.56mm bullets, which can be extended to 40.

1 – Groza:

The best AR in PUBG according to us, is Groza, which also happens to be a air drop loot crate special and is not easily available. This AR has the second highest fire rate among the ARs just behind the M416. But in terms of damage, it deals 49 which is the same as the AKM. It only comes with a scope and magazine slot, and a unique muzzle slot that can only equip a suppressor. It is a very stable gun that hardly has any side-to-side sway. It holds a normal magazine of 30 7.62mm bullets, which can be extended to 40. If any enemies are unfortunate enough to cross your path holding this gun, it would be a very unfortunate and quick end to their game.
