GAMES IN BETA PHASE!

What are the games that you can play for free now even though you would have to pay for them later when they are released? I am talking about closed or open beta of many games that are now available. Some of these games will be free, but they still need beta testers. They give you the feels and hype you up. Sometimes you play the beta for so long that you don't even want to play the game anymore. It happens!

What I find interesting is that not many more things are changed after the open beta ends and thus you do play something very similar to the final version of the game. The only difference is that you are a beta tester and you still can find some bugs, which can developers fix later.

So what are the games that you can play right now and enjoy them even before they are released? And what are some games to which you can sign-up now to get onto a list of possible testers?

Quake Champions

I have seen some twitch streamers playing the game long time ago. Back then they got banned as there was still NDA going on. I have also seen Kralizec playing this, but it was even before the open beta.

To get your key you have to make Bethesda account and download their launcher. Then you are good to go.

The game is quick and in some way it reminds me of Quake 3 arena, which was one of my favourite games. I mostly liked the eye-ball character in Quake 3, but it is not here, for now.

There are some big differences between these two games. The characters do have perks which can be used to your advantages. Also they added loot boxes which you can open to get skins, tags, banners. Loot crates are probably in every game nowadays. There is still no capture the flags and not many maps are avaiable, but it is still worth the try!

GWENT: THE Witcher Card Game

Who does not like Witcher 3? There was a different beta test of a different game even before Witcher 3. It was called The Witcher: Adventure game. I had a lot of fun playing it and helping CD project. They made board game out of it and you can also get it on steam.

GWENT is something more similar to Hearthstone. GWENT has less RNG and is more about skill and decision making. GWENT looks also more rewarding and if you lose, it was probably your fault. It is fun experience to try something different.

SpellForce 3

Spellforce 3 is fantasy RTS game. I have seen beta for Spellforce first on HumbleBundle where you can get it for 1 dollar or more. If you don't want to pay for it, I guess there are still different ways how to get a key - on giveaways.

Age of Empires: Definitive Edition

Not avaiable for now. The Sign up phase started few days ago. You can sign up to the closed beta here. It is not know if you get to the beta or not, but if you like the Age of Empires series, you should give this at least a try!

Hot Lava

Designers of Don't Starve made a new game. It is called Hot Lava and it does have only one mission. Do not touch the ground! It is basically counter strike surfing.

Destiny 2

You can get a Destiny 2 open beta early access starting 18th of July by preordering Destiny 2. Or you can wait for open beta for everyone. Can't really say much about this game.

Dreadnought

I did not really look into this game. Space fighting at its finest. I am waiting for Star Citizen though.
