DOTA 2 ARCADE!

It doesn't even matter if you like MOBA games or not. Great developers such as Valve and Blizzard are always giving people tools to make their own mods/maps/scenarios in their games. Many mods were originated from Warcraft 3 - even Dota itself! They are really fun to play even with people you don't know and they don't take that much time to enjoy. The standard length of them is almost always below one hour.

I remember playing Island Troll Tribes, which was a team-game about surviving. You build fire camps, shelters and tools from items spawning on the map. You combine them and you hunt animals to get food and water and also weapons that you use to fight another tribes. It's really great gaming experience and it has nothing to do with MOBA genre even though it is a custom mod in Dota 2.

There are all kind of mods and gameplays, but most people don't know what to expect. The best idea is to try them out and expect the worst. Then you will be very amazed how good the mods can be and you must actually understand that the mods were made by normal people and in most cases for free!

But there are mods that everyone should know about from all other places - Tower Defense! There are so many of them and every one of them is different somehow. Let me present you two very interesting tower defense mods from Dota 2 arcade.

GEM TD

This mod originated from Warcraft 3. You build your own maze from gems and stones and you try to protect your gem castle. You can also combine towers to create unique towers with unique attributes. The game offers a huge replayability.

The Dota 2 Gem TD is little bit different than the original version and is missing slates that were used to damage monsters as they walk through it, but it still a very good mod that you should try.

There are so many tower defense games in the Dota 2 arcade. Green TD, Legion TD, Spin TD, Stronghold TD and much more. However this one is completely different and also you can download it on google play and app store.

ELEMENTS TD

Also a mod that I really liked in Warcraft 3. This tower defense is based on elemental combination - light, darkness, water, fire, nature, and earth. The elements you choose determine what towers you can build and what tower combinations you can make. This mod also offers replayability and countless strategies to beat your friends!

Elements TD is a mod that people care about and is still being improved. You should try to play it with the hardest difficulty as it is the most fun like that!
