Noah Whinston, Los Angeles Immortals Owner and CEO, touches on some very important and crucial Overwatch League information in the video below. He talks briefly about how pleased he is with the 7 core players currently on the immortals roster. He explains they are confident in the team they have brought together as it has shown in their performance in the last two tournaments Immortals played in over the last month and a half. The recent roster changes bringing in Kariv, Fate, and Envy from Korea has proven to be a major upgrade making Immortals a top contender in the world.

The most important topic Noah touched on was the need of live events and interaction with fans IRL. That has been one of the biggest differences between esports and traditional shorts in America so far. Noah believes that creating a league where each team is anchored to a city and interacts with that city fan base through live events, just like traditional professional sports, is a huge part of making Overwatch League grown as big or bigger that it's traditional sports counterparts. The partnership with AEG is the key! AEG owns Staples Center and LA Live where the Lakers, Clippers, and Kings play and will offer a first class home arena for Immortals to do just that.

Because of this partnership and access to LA Live I believe the entire first season of Overwatch League will be played there in Los Angeles. Most of the other teams in Overwatch League do not have stadiums or arenas to play in yet. This is my main reason to believe Los Angeles will be the location of Overwatch League season 1.

Due to the size of the LA market and the fact that LA is the home of some of the largest sports franchises in the world, I believe Immortals will become the biggest Overwatch League team in the world as well.
