The early access model completely changed the way games are packaged and sold. While it does some good for the indie developers allowing them to fund development, it also creates a fertile environment for greedy devs looking to make a quick buck.

In the end it comes down to the buyer's responsibility of doing a bit of research before blindly buying one of those early access games!
