NOTE: This is my most recent top 10. It is not official to the subject, just a list of games that I've played myself. If you don't see a game on here that you think should be on here, it's just probably because I haven't played it yet. Tell me some of your favorite open world games in the comments! So I can give 'em a try!

10| Batman: Arkham Asylum.

When I played this game, I couldn't put it down. I would play it for days at a time. Running around the island, looking for the Riddler's hidden trophies and various riddles adds for some entertainment that'll keep you busy for sure. And many different sections of the Asylum where many of Batman's infamous villains can be found hiding.

9| The Godfather.

This game was pretty funny. Although the graphics weren't all that great, you still get that feel of New York in 1945. With the Vintage cars all around and the way everyone is dressed. All over the city there are lock boxes that you can find that give you special outfits and loads of cash, which is always good. It's a fun map to roam around, just lacks very much detail.

8| Saints Row 2.

Saints Row 2 was pretty fuckin' awesome. I feel like they expanded off of the original quite well. You got to see familiar areas as well as new ones. Since you are a part of a gang, you definitely gotta be ready to shoot at any rivals who blast at you when you're on their territory.

7| Red Dead Redemption.

I feel like the map for this game was crazy authentic. The old west. Before we had so much shit, we barely had anything out here, and the law had very little presence. There are many various valley's and canyons that make the world a beautiful world to explore, definitely gives a perfect authentic old western feel. Very Well done.

6| Sleeping Dogs.

I found the map in this game pretty intriguing. You get a small perspective on what the city in China might be like. Where they drive on the opposite side of the road. There are many regular stores you can go to as well as kiosk spots in alleyways. And garages all in various places so you're never without a car to get yourself around.

5| Watch Dogs 2.

This game takes place in a fiction version of San Diego, California. The bay area. I personally enjoy this map. It's riddled with various hacking areas that provide a different challenge in order to achieve upgrade points. Different views of California, such as the upper class neighborhoods with nice cars and big houses, to the lower class neighborhoods riddle with graffiti and gang activity. It definitely feels like California.

4| Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

I chose this one because it's classic. Although the graphics weren't so great at the time, this map definitely gave you a southern California feel. With grafitti on the walls, low riders every where and gang activity in specific color labeled areas. Although it lacked detail, it still gave off the proper vibe it was looking for.

3| Homefront: The Revolution.

This one takes place in a war torn Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. North Korea has invaded the United States and taken over. And you push through North Korean territory and slowly take back your city. You use tunnels below the ground to get from each section of the map, which includes more North Korean strongholds throughout the city. It's an interesting look on what it could be like it that were ever to happen to us. Perfect map.

2| Dying Light.

Dying Light takes place in Harran, a fictional city in what is implied to be Turkey. The cool thing about this game is it's free running aspect. So the map is full of buildings and other things you can climb all over if you choose to. It's a very full map that might take a while to travel around in if you can't find anything to drive, but the detail put into the look of this games map is just, perfect and fun to scavenge around in for supplies.

1| Grand Theft Auto 5.

Obviously. Had to be number one. This map has so much scenery and areas to choose from, it's crazy. And I've heard rumors that you can follow random citizens around in the city and they actually follow an agenda. I've never tested this out before but I plan on trying it out at least once. On top of that there are many hidden easter eggs, such as the ghost you can find in the mountains at a certain time at night, or an alien spaceship you can see only at a certain time somewhere in the mountains as well. So much work put into building this world. It was truly amazing.

always good to see more videogame content on this site! Great post, keep up the good work!

Absolutely! Plenty more where this came from!

yay!

Do you ever wonder how you'll feel if you start playing with unlimited ammo? You can experience the other side of this game by using these insane cheats and console commands (https://cheatcommands.cc/csgo-bhop-commands/). These cheats grant the player supercharged armour that does not take damage.

Good options actually, but now there are a lot of new ones, for example Starfield which is very unique and amazing due to its capabilities. You can learn more from this post
