Puffnplay - Rocket League. The best nonkilling PVP esport game available

I have always enjoyed PVP games. Killing my friends. Or being in a squad with my friends and killing everyone else. Just competing basically. Competition is ingrained into me. Video games are the good, healthy way for me to get it all out. I used to play Halo 2 too much, then Black Ops 2 too much. I was always killing other people, killing in this game or killing in that game. Even the few MMO's I played centered around endgame battles.

A game where I don't have to kill other people. It's still a competition, I'm still playing to win. But with no guns, and no murder. Just rocket powered cars in an arena with a giant soccer ball!!

In about 550 wins I was the MVP 212 times which is pretty good odds if I say so myself.

It only took me 2 days and 7 hours of playtime to get where I am haha!!

When I first started playing this game just positioning myself to hit the ball was a chore, it was still fun. I didn't realize how bad I was since I was playing with other people nearly as bad as me. Eventually I learned the rotation a team needs to have, how to fly and hit the ball, how ride up walls and jump off to hit the ball. How to win pinches. the 3 different kinds of jumping and flying. There is really a lot to this game that you never would think about.

As it is I sit somewhere in the middle average of rocket league players. I am a platinum 2 in most ranked competitive game types. Which are 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3, 3 vs 3 solo. Unranked games can be regular soccer, or hockey, basketball, or dropshot, and even a special power up mode type game. (A bad video of me playing dropshot can be found below, my computer isn't good enough to copy directly from it, so I improvised. One day soon my PC will be better and I will be able to share better videos!)

There is no pay to win aspect of this game though you can get keys and crates with special skins and rocket trails. Just for looks. They are going to be adding special goal explosion animations at the end of this season, which is on the 5th of next month. Its an easy game to have fun playing and a HARD game to master! Once you do finally get to the top of the arena and hit the ball while flying, it's thrilling. Like landing a skateboard trick for the first time.
