EmperorRotMK Campaign tips/review #6

While playing this game I noticed many gaming tips and tricks that are posted on the internet, but there were no really helpful tips for completing the campaigns. Some of them can be really hard, even on very easy, and can take up many hours to even figure out.

So here are some tips:

General tips:

• Always start off slowly: do not rush any industry or agricultural buildings.
• Start with a basic housing block, there are many different ways to do this so try each out till you get one you like. I prefer to do the one that you will see in each post. This is just a basic housing loop.
• Improving buildings is key to getting max productivity in your town and will allow you to easily go into the agriculture phase.
• Only once you have a steady sustainable flow of food into your housing blocks can you move over into the industrial phase.
• Once in the industrial phase, start off slow by building only a few buildings as needed, better to keep your unemployment under 50 and have never have employees needed.
• Once all of this is checked off it is time to start getting the trading and military going.
• Always keep enough troops at base to defend it, once you have more armies than your enemy you will be able to demand trading and goods, if they refuse then a simple attack will make them bow down before you.

Campaign Tips

• This is the last section of the Great Wall that needs to be build, it uses a lot of wood so start as soon as you can to make things easier and quicker.

• Create compounds as you will need a really strong army to be able to defend your city, also try get a very high population as the normal population housing blocks is not enough.

• Before you get attacked you are warned 6 months before, this allows you to get ready. By 2 months I would save then go back to that save as soon as you know where their forces will attack. Thus by going back you can place your armies right where they are needed.

• The Nomads will be attacking very often during this level and it is important to always keep enough troops at your base. All attacks come from the same area so always leave 2-3 armies there to defend.

• When you are attacking the other cities make sure you are using the attack settings shown below, this will leave you with very little to no losses when you have conquered the city.

• You can attack multiple cities at the same time, if you have enough armies. Just remember that once they are sent off to attack they will not be available for anything else till they return.

To be honest the wall looks really lame... Like the normal city walls look so much better. I feel like they could of done more with the wall to make it look more realistic and appealing.

Review:

Once again this is a really fun level in the campaign although it is really difficult and takes long you will definitely enjoy it. I found that the trading was bad and being so close to the end of the campaign I would expect there to be tea, so that you can get to max level upgrades for houses.

Fun: The battling was so much fun. Being constantly on your guard was really thrilling and being attacked by more than one city at a time made alliances really important as you needed their military support to defend your city. 9/10

Design: They could of really made the map a bit bigger as finding a spot to build proper bousing blocks was difficult. Not being able to trade for the things needed to create and upgrade the compounds really difficult to get. You were very limited in this level which sucks because you don't have enough space to create a proper economy/trading. 6/10

Interaction: Trading was really difficult as you can hardly produce enough goods for your city, this makes improving your standing with other cities difficult and almost impossible. There also seems to be a lot of glitches with the wall and the labour camps. 5/10

Story: Well just by the first line of the story you can already see that this level will be taking a long time to complete. The second paragraph of the story is well... A BUNCH OF LIES... as there is no insane amount of workers, there is hardly space to get enough workers. Resources are not as abundant as described, a lot of the things you need for your city you will need to trade for. 2/10
